Well it's been one week since my surgery, and I'm getting better every day! Last week was kinda rough. The surgery went fine, but I was, and continue to be, in more pain than I anticipated.
I has quite the drug experiences.... The morphine made me incredibly itchy. My daughter bought me a back scratcher in the gift shop, so at least I had that to keep me amused, and scratching. The percocet and vicotin made me sick, so I've basically been on tylenol since last Wednesday.
Glad your back and feeling better! I get itchy too from those pain killers, I think Codeine. It must be hard to move, get in and out of bed and up and down. Take it easy for a while!
Does a happy dance all over the room!!! YAY... (claps)
I AM a little disappointed, however, that you didn't make a concerted effort to make a post while you were under the influence of the drugs. I was rather looking forward to that!

Thanks! Had I attempted to post while under the influence you guys would probably have not been able to read it, or understand it! My daughter explained to me that I had the art of waking up, pushing the button on my morphine drip, and then falling back to sleep every five minutes down to a science.
The nurses were laughing at me, and told me that I was quite "stoned" the first day. I had that morphine pump down to a science, and I figured out how to read it, to tell when I could get another strong dose. I also figured out that if I held the button down for five seconds, it seemed to dispense more morphine....
My drugged out day........ I snoozed, itched and pushed the pump button.....
You sound like me with the epidural. They gave me a button thingy too. Every fifteen minutes I was pushing it even sometimes before then just to be safe. I'll probably be doind the same thing with this baby.
glad to hear you're feeling better, jess. btw, the itching w/the morphine is a mild alergic reaction. i had it after my first c/section. next time you need a pain med like that you need to tell the docs so they can give you something else. they also could have medicated you for the reaction. next reaction could be much more severe so be careful in the future.
it's uphill from here. rest, relax....watch your soaps lol.
