Is anyone having a party? I'm having some friends from work come over, and I've made up a smattering of goodies: 7 layer dip, made to look like a football field, onion peels, cocktail weines in puff pastry, honey barbecue popcorn chicken, fruit, a Boston Creme Cake, sausage and cheese tortillas, beer, cheap wine and soda. Add in the chips and crackers and such some others are bringing.
Anywho, I'm going to take a photo of my dip and post it here later. It's going to be mega cute!
dh will be at friends' house.....sarah has no interest. jarrod will watch in his room & i'm either watching dvr stuff i've bee stockpiling or sticking my IPod back in my ears & reading a book lol.

I made a big pot of chili for dinner so the guys here can help themselves to it while glued to the TV downstairs. Not sure what I'll be watching tonight, but it won't be the game. But ya'll fans enjoy the evening. I might try to catch the Cirque du Soleil pre-game act. Ooooh! It's on right now. I love Cirque!
My husband was supposed to go out, but the weather froze our water line and he wants to stay home and keep an eye on it. So it's very loud here, he keeps yelling at the TV, like they can actually hear him!! I'd like to catch some commercials
I got in the mood to cook and made a rice casserole, with cheese of course, baked mac and cheese too, and some Italian Sausage and biscuits, Sound so Midwestern doesn't it!!!
yeah, my husband is yelling at the tv too. He was pretty bummed before it started cause I guess everyone on the pre shows stuff predicted the Colts would win. I hope they dont
Awwww, sorry for you Bears fans. I didn't care one way or the other really, but I was pulling for the Colts. But I would have been happy had the Bears won too.
Kae, there is plenty of dip left! I made a HUGE platter of it, and they ate about three quarters of it, and still there's a bunch left! But that's okay. I love to snack on it!
And there is enough creme cake left for breakfast, hehe. Tina, I'm not really sure what's in the cake. It looks like two pieces of yellow cake with a creme sandwich filling and a chocolate frosting. But not regular cake frosting. It's a more decadent frosting. Yum.
Bad Bears, very bad! My husband was so upset!! He hates the quarterback, he's never consistent. Bummer. At least it's over and life can get back to normal around here!! I enjoyed Prince at the half time show, I didn't realize how great he was on guitar, I've got my old Purple Rain CD right now and my son hates it!! The kid doesn't appreciate the classics I tell ya!
