Hey everybody....

Well I am now two weeks post-operative, and I can't believe that I'm not ready to go to the gym... This whole recovery thing is taking longer than I thought. To top everything off, I have an infection. I had to go to the ER yesterday, and they put me on antibiotics.

I have a serious case of cabin fever and grumpiness! Last week I couldn't stand the soaps, so I pretty much napped through them.

It will probably be another week before I'm back, but I want to say hi... Greetings from frozen Massachusetts, and the grumpy post-op poster!

Sorry to hear about all of that. That sucks. Nothing like getting laid up for awhile, no matter for what reason. It'll all get better.

You have to give it time, that's a major surgery. I'd think 6 weeks before the gym, but not sure! Take it easy, don't rush it Read some good romance novels, the shows have all but forgotten romance!!

Tina's right.

Take advantage of this recovery time; take plenty of naps, catch up on all of the reading you've been meaning to do, and rent some of the movies that you never got around to seeing!

Bake some cookies for yourself, and have them warm with your favorite ice cream. It makes infections go away. (Doctors don't seem to know this, for some reason...)

And, WE'RE still here for you!

Take it easy, Tess. I can speak from first-hand experience that trying to rush a recovery can lead to more problems down the way. And I can surely relate to your cabin fever as well! That's a toughie to overcome, but staying in can take on a rhythm of its own in time, and that's what your body needs right now.

We're all here when you feel like a chat, so hop in any time.
