If Viki and Jessica both had it, clearly Bree is a likely candidate. Todd managed to avoid it even though he faked it, so are Jack, Starr and Tommy potential candidates to have it?

Now that you mention it, poor little Tommy doesn't have a very good chance of avoiding mental illness at all, considering both of his parents carry pretty bad genes. Margaret was certifiable nd the DID from the Lord side are both in there, poor kid!
well, and besides the genetic part...both Jess and Vicki were exposed to some pretty nasty things. Hopefully the Manning kids and Bree wont have to deal with that
I thought they said something along the lines of DID not being genetic, but something else made it possible for Jess to be more likely to get it, and now I can't recall how it was worded
DID is not genetic as far as i can tell. i don't think IRL that bree would be at risk of developing DID. DID is caused by severe sexual & physical abuse. vicki, it seems to me, was at high risk of developing DID as her father was not just sexually abusive he was a mean man who also emotionally abused vicki throughout her life. jessica OTOH was never physically abused....tho one could say that vicki's alters probably caused a great deal of emotional abuse & nicki could have also been physically abusive ~~~ tho that was never implied ~~~ so the necessary components were in play.
bree OTOH will be unlikely to be abused in any fashion....tho it could happen.
tommy however is at high risk. margaret was clearly schizophrenic. there is a strong genetic link here. now if it were to turn out that spencer was actually tommy's biological father the risk factors go up expoentially!!! while todd has issues he is not mentally ill. you don't need the genetic link to mental illness on both sides of the family tho......one parent as the carrier is quite enough.
