criminal minds

did anyone watch the post superbowl episode & last night's conclusion? i love this show but these two episodes were amazing!!!

i didn't like how reed took the drugs out of the unsub's pocket. i hope they aren't setting up an addiction SL for him. i can see how the drug would attract him tho since it brought back his mom~memories...even if they weren't happy.

Kris, I watched some of it last night. Criminal Minds has been a huge favourite - I love the characters Reed and Garcia especially. But I found it too gory and dark, so I turned it off. There's just too much of that kind of theme on prime time TV for me right now, and as much as I like the show, I didn't have the stomach to watch it.

When you think about it, prime time is dominated by the 3 Law and Orders, and three CSI's, then Criminal Minds as the icicing on the cake. For relief, there's the utterly unwatchable early episodes of American Idol and a handful of half hour inane sitcoms. We have trouble finding anything that suits both my husband and me after Jeopardy, and this week it's all kids on the show, so we don't find it too challenging, to say the least. Maybe I'm getting picky and grumpy, but TV hasn't been a very satisfying entertainment form lately. Even Boston Legal has gotten sillier than usual in the last few weeks. Sigh....

I wish the networks would tell the crime stories with less graphic illustration and more concentration on the solving of the crimes. I really don't want images of bloody ears and holes in heads following me off to bed. I'd so much prefer to watch a psychological thriller that captures my attention than a series of guts and gore scenes, but that's likely asking too much.

Kae, have you ever watched Medium. Its kind of gory but its pretty good. I havent gotten into Criminal Minds for much of the same reason. I already watch too many drama shows, though i only watch L&O SVU anymore and I only watch the Las Vegas version of CSI, even that I dont watch often. But I got hooked on Medium because it was based on a woman from Phoenix and its pretty good

No, Shelly, I've never watched it, but I'll give it a try next week. Thanks for the tip.

since i'm a mystery buff i'm all into the CSI & L&O franchises....love medium & ghost whisperer as well.

yes, this two part DM was dark & gory but i wouldn't have given up a minute of it. you could see them setting this case up to have some long~term ramifications.
