I think I have mentioned on this board before how much of a redneck my mother's boyfriend is. Well, he is majorly into hunting and stuff, and he catches and kills a lot of animals to sell their fur. Uggh. I many times go to dig in the freezer, and usually encounter some little furry patches sticking out of plastic bags. So, this is what I have to deal with. Often. Ew.
Are those beavers? We had a huge problem with those darn critters at our cottage. They kept building dams in the little creek and flooding out the driveway. There aren't any natural predators for beaver any more up there - all the woves have either migrated or been killed off. We finally had to hire a guy to come shoot them. I hated to do it, but we had tried everything else, including destroying the dams. The beavers then would work all night and by morning, the dam would be back in place.
The guy in the picture reminds me of someone - I'll figure it out sooner or later.
My dad is a redneck, deer meat in his freezer all the time. And mounted on the wall. It's gross. But he eats the meat, he doesn't just waste it. And there is typically an over population of certain animals that they control by allowing a certain number to be hunted. BTW I shoot like Annie Oakley!!
I remember years ago hearing a story about a guy I knew (he was a very dignified looking attorney in a huge corporate law firm I used to work for) who also liked to hunt. For some reason I forget at this point, he had an entire owl in his freezer.
This attorney was a great guy, but sadly had an early and sudden demise. I always wondered what the reaction was when some poor member of his family went to clean out his freezer!

Ew, the gutting. He gutted on in our driveway once. Shudder.
Moore, I warned you! LOL.
An owl is a new one for me. I haven't heard of that. I was scarred once as a child and I opened the freezer for a popsicle and had a giant cow head staring back at me.
