Adam and Colby reach out to Krystal. Tad and Julia are thrown by Kathy's remark. The killer attacks Zoe at Babe's gravesite. Jumping to the wrong conclusion, JR hurls insults at a barely conscious Zoe and then walks away, meanwhile the killer sends Ryan a taunting message. JR moves Krystal to tears as he explains to her that he doesn't want her out of his life because she's his last link to Babe. Derek's attitude dismays Bianca. Zoe informs Jack that the killer had spit on him during the attack. Krystal and JR cover after Bianca's outburst leaves Adam suspicious. Bianca takes the button she found in the cemetery bearing the Cambias crest to Ryan. JR reaches out to Tad, who beats himself up for failing to protect Dixie. Zoe reassess her assesment of JR. Ryan turns to Tad after realizing that Zach took Kendall away.

DIGGING FOR ANSWERS

Not getting the answers he's looking for from Ryan, Zach embarks on a fact finding mission with Kendall. Disguised as a cheesy gangster and his wife, Zach, Kendall and their army of bodyguards arrive at a Las Vegas hotel. After "persuading" the desk clerk to give them what they want while checking in, Kendall, posing as Alexander's granddaughter, tries to get answers from the nurse who cared for Alex in his last days. Zach's emotions spill over as he stands before his father's grave. Kendall fears Zach is becoming unhinged when he intimidates the cemetery director into opening Alex's grave and later listens as Zach describes how his father emotionally abused him. Zach remembers his father's taunts and why he was driven to fake his own death. Zach and Kendall find Alex's coffin full of rocks and a note. Zach learns that somebody impersonating him had Alex's grave opened 6 months ago, on the anniversary of his own faked death. Kendall is speechless as Zach tells her that his father faked his death and is punishing him. After receiving a call from beyond the grave, Zach goes for a face-off leaving a worried Kendall behind. Zach is caught off-guard by the sight of "his mother" when he arrives at the warehouse - as his father takes aim.
