OMG - not my fave beginning as Adriana and Layla fit REx in some skimpy underwear. Michael comes over, says he's going crazy (about the secret).
Todd calls Van, asks her if the average Sun readerwill remember about Nora's ex was outted at his swearing-in. LOL. Todd says he doesn't care if Van brings Cris along to dinner as he doesn't have anything to say anyway. Van agrees to dinner with Todd if Cris can come too. Cris turns up at Van's tble, warns her that Todd isn't really her friend - he just takes what he wants and to hell with anybody in his way.
Jess shows up at the Sun and tells Todd she quits! SO soon?
Nash pours Layla a glass of wine, asks her to taste it and if she likes it, recommend it tonight (she's waiting tables at Capricorn). LOL, she gives Nash a pair of undershorts just like the ones she had put on Rex earlier.
Roxy at M&M's with her ugly knitting, looking for vodka. MArcie mentions Mike is out on an errand and he's been gone a long time. Roxy says she thinks Mike has a little sumpthin' sumpthin' on the side, making Marcie think.
Mike tells Rex and Adriana about the baby cup. Rex says he's got a way to keep Todd from looking for the kid.
Van and Cris are having an unpleasant conversation about how Todd manages to get in their way too often. And Van says can they please stop by Todd's office for a sec.
Jess wants to quit because she stinks, so Todd calls Miles, tells him he has a narrowed down list of suspects in the Truman case. Miles will be right down to the Sun in a minute. Todd tells Jes to fire up her tape recorder, he smells a story.
Layla advises Nash to get rid of his vibe - the one that says he's in love with a girl he can't have. He'll never get any available women as long as he has that going on.
Michael doesn't want to hurt anybody (with Rex's scheme) but tells him to go ahead anyway. Rex hands him the fake death certificate and he wonders if it'll fly.
Todd seems to be convincing Miles to sit down and tell Jess his story. Todd notes that Miles is beginning to look like a man with something to hide. Miles is interested that Todd is Jessica's uncle as well as her boss.
Roxy and Marcie again. Roxy asks Marcie a bunch of questions about Mike's behaviour lately, as in does he display all the signs of a cheating man. Marcie says that's ridiculous.
Michael's telling Adriana that he doesn't know how he can live with lying to his wife about their son.
Cris is telling Van that Todd sees her as more than a friend, and he's not going to stop until he gets what he wants. She denies it all.
Todd and Jess finally convince Miles to tell his story by saying that the article would be run as tribute to Spencer. Miles is uncomfortable, but starts to settle in.
As Todd calls Van to tell her she's late and he's coming to Capricorn, Rex stops him and gives him the death certificate.
Layla isn't happy about Nash telling Jess about his feelings for her.
More Cris and Van talking about Todd. She says he'll stop pursuing her when he gets Blair back. She'll call him right now to say she's not coming over.
Mike's angst is eating away at him, leaves Adriana for home.
Rex feeds Todda load of lies about his "son" a nd how he died, then splits, leaving Todd alone in the corridor of the building.
Miles begins his story. He says his father took one look at him when he was born, took him from his mother's arms and stuck him into an institution on the day he was born. He though he father was right, that he was a demon with no value - and did until he met Dr. Truman. Spencer treated him like a human being, and then told him something he thought he'd never hear - that he could give him the face he was meant to have. And he did.
Todd's having a tantrum in the elevator, smashing stuff with his briefcase, then crumples to the floor. He has flashbacks to Spencer's torturing words about his son.
Eeew - a Roxy remark to Marcie about imaginative uses for a knitting needle. She did manage to get Marcie to admit that something could be bothering Michael, but he wsn't being unfaithful to her.
Cris tells Van to go take care of her business with Todd (about Nora) and he'll see her after.
Miles explains that he tried to kill himself and would heve later if Spencer hadn't saved him. He felt trapped in the institution by his face. He read everything he could get his hands on, but had no skills.
Todd's halucinating that Spencer is there taunting him about his son - the sins of the father, etc.
Mike's home to a sulky Marcie, and she notes that he forgot the laundry powder. She tells him that she knows he's lying to her and wants the truth. Where was he the night Spencer was killed.
Gah! Rex is still hanging on to the idea of Michael killing Truman.
Van finds a wrecked Todd in the elevator.
Hmmm - Layla's surprised when Nash tells her that Jess admitted to him that she had feelings for him too. Layla presses for details, so Nash tells her that he kissed Jess and she kissed him back. Cris heard the whole thing.
Miles continues his story to Jess and startles her when he says his last name is Laurence. She says she knew someone once with the same last name, a Mitch Laurence. Miles says Mitch was his brother.
Previews:
Rex tells Adriana that it's time for him to come clean and tell everyone the truth.
Miles tells Jess that there's no changing the fact that they are family. Jess looks like she wants to throw up.
Cris to Layla and Nash: "Even if Todd tried something, she'd turn him down".
Flash over to Van sitting beside Todd in the elevator and moving in for a kiss.
There was a very mumbled exchange between Natalie and John.
Yeah Tess can you believe the writing! I mean the lack of details and consistency!
They still never explained Margaret's 12 month pregnancy. What if Michael McBain was really raising Spencer's kid, now that would be interesting story telling. Only these writers would mess it up. They don't let people go through all the emotions they need, they rush through everything. Todd never got over the rape, and all of a sudden he wanted to raise the baby, without a dna test, right?
Now Miles in town, and he didn't know who Jessica was, did he never watch TV or read the damn newspaper in his hospital?
I wonder about this death cert that Rex pulled out of thin air, will Todd want to go visit the grave and bump into the real parents and find out Rex lied?? Or will that all be conveniently dropped
