Once again we get way more in depth about the life and times of Britney Spears' rehab trips and you know, frankly I'm getting to a point where I ask "Why the hell should I care?" Seriously. Think about it. I don't know Britney from the mailman, in fact I know more about my mailman then I do about Britney Spears. Yeah, she's sick. So what? She's just like anyone else with an addiction or problem or mental breakdown or whatever. This is yet another media circus shoving a story at us that we should all frankly say "Hey thanks for the info. Got the point 3 weeks ago, no more Britney".

Same goes for the Anna Nicole Smith situation. Yes she died, yes I feel bad for her family. I do not give a shit where she gets buried, who gets to bury her, who does or does not get her money and who did or did not knock her up. She is a former Playmate that didn't do anything worthwhile as far as her career. Seriously, what did she do that was so important that she gets to dominate my headlines? She banged an old guy and got his money and got into a fight for it. Don't care if she loved him or not because really it's not my business and there's other things I'd rather find out about.

In short, our media is all about the flash and hype and no longer about substance or credibility. Frankly, big media outlets only have one difference between them and the tabloids. They report the celebrity news in rumors and speculation, the tabloids report as the truth. Good bye journalistic importance and integrity. You died a horrible death but don't worry, you'll not be dragged through the media circus though. You weren't as big breasted as Anna or as "girl next door gone bad" as Britney.
