I tried to force myself to say, it'll get better. It's only a matter of time now that Spencer's out of the way, but no... the show hasn't gotten any better, in fact it's only gotten worse. Here's how:
--Blair's more bitchy then ever. Not taking Todd back, jumping at Marty and Cole at any given moment. She may as well just say "You're breathing the air Starr and I were in 15 minutes ago so you must be having him stalk her!" Not to mention being a completely bad mother to Starr in the Cole situation.
--Marty has been about the most roll me over girl I've ever seen. She sits there and takes everyone's crap. Blair's, John's, and she hasn't exactly been giving herself any credit when Nora and Antonio and the like come by for "advice time" with Marty. Stand up, grow a backbone woman! And where are my intense scenes with Todd? None, zip, nada. That sucks.
--Rex and Adrianna are running around playing God with Tommy McBain's life. Yes Rex, you get to determine who raises a child, not the proper authorities. I used to like Rex but this one has gone too far. You're not in charge of lives, or did you forget this is in the same area of what Dorian tried to do with Adriana. We saw how that worked out. I bet Jen is shaking her head at you from beyond the grave Rex.
--The Brothers Nutso aka McBain. Okay we all know John was crazy-obessessed with things but why did they have to turn Michael into Mr. Obessession Number 2? If it isn't about keeping stuff away from Tommy (understandable here) then it's keep John away from the murder investigation. It's crazy. Michael was always the stable, right there in line one. John, the opposite. I don't need two moody McBains and Michael is slowly making Marcie the 3rd one.
--Latino Heatttttt or rather, boredom. I'm sorry. Christian over reacts to everything. It's lame, it's pointless. Evangeline talked to Todd, oh dear lord they must be screwing behind his back. I had enjoyed Christian's return but ever since then, things have been crap. And let's not forget the months wasted on the dim flame of a romance he's had with Evangeline.
--Antonio the moron. Come on, really? What man in his right mind is going to hire Nash as his club manager? And we'll not forget that it was a truly stupid idea to rush a woman that just got intergrated into marriage. Changes? Hello, they told you that. Truly if the truth comes out, Antonio will have to take his hand in for this part. You rushed a woman that was just rediscovering herself, you don't tie her down to the old as soon as possible. Bad move on the marriage and bad move for the Nash as manager hire. I don't mind the friendship but the business partnerships and everything seem just too unlikely.
--Boring veteran romances. Okay, I'm all for screen time for Dorian, Viki, Clint, Lindsay, Bo and Paige but if you're going to have them fight for the Buchanan men at least make it some what... interesting. There's not been one thing about this that has been terribly exciting. Dorian spooked a horse by going "pow pow". Whoopie! Give me a break, this fighting has been dull at the best. Dorian's smarter then this and Viki should be too. Lindsay at least showed she's grown as human being.
--Natalie's the same old Natalie. And that's what makes the scenes with her and John the same old boring crap. Natalie: But John, I'm going to bitch at you forever and then make you have to do something you don't want to do to keep me. John: I'm too moody and centered on my obessessions to notice that this relationship should have ended last year. GARRRR, somebody knock out John, and maybe Natalie can miss him and go ruin someone's else life. Vincent DOES DESERVE Natalie.
--Evangeline is just kind of there. She's in the dull relationship with Christian, she's just there for Todd as he grieves his lost relationship with Blair and his lost sons. But really, nothing spectacular for her. She's just there.
--Nora's on big time contract... and the best we get from it is "Hey Cristian isn't an arsonist" "Let me give you advice (Evangeline, Marty, etc)" or just to get set up for a fire. Yep... neat stuff. Waste of talent... as always.
--And the demanning of Todd Manning. Todd hasn't been Todd at all. Where's his scheme to get Blair back? Why is he always counting on Rex to do the digging now that Spencer's dead? Why isn't he doing it himself? Why hasn't he been more confrontational with people as he always is? Yeah, he's not the same. And that my friends makes an unhappy Brandon indeed. No good Todd Manning story means no point in watching this show because I could care less what happens to every one else in the long run. Todd's my guy, has been, always will be, but if this continues to suck, I may have to tape something else in OLTL's place.

One thing I want to comment on is that Cristian was never like this before, I wonder if he's supposed to be different because of the brain washing a fw years back. Antonio is the one that had a woman cheat on him, and is usually the more suspicious and volatile brother.
I think Blair is going thru some kind of depression, after everything that happened, at least I hope that's what it is
Dorian is Dorian! I like Clint and Viki rekindling something here. Don't like Lindsay teaming up with Dori, I want her to be happy, get back with RJ
John needs to take a chill pill, he should either get off this investigation or drop the all on it! Who cares who killed Spencer anyway, let it take 26 years to figure it out, the way it took so long to figure out who killed his dad, now that would be justice!!
I gave up on Todd, but like him with Evangeline and her with him. Not her and Cristian, I never got that.
Nat is just Nat. She was raised by Roxy, what can we really expect! ha ha
First of all, I agree completely with both of you. I'll just add that this show has managed to ruin one of the most fun and charming couples ever on this soap - Nash and Jessica. Every part of their story has been mangled to bloody death. I won't list all the ways it's been ruined, but I now cringe when they're on, and I had been rooting for them for over a year.
Whoever they're writing this crap for doesn't include me. I'll watch it for a bit, but when I compare it to Y/R, sigh....it's hard to justify spending that hour at OLTL.
I also completely agree with all of you! I don't really follow the show any longer. I read the spoilers, but that's about it.
I've been home for six weeks now, and I don't think I have sat through one episode. It used to be my favorite, but I just can't stand the storylines, the newbies and John McBain.
Bran, I agree with nearly everything you said. Except for the Natalie part. She is NOT the same old Natalie. The old Natalie ruled. She was spunky, feisty and full of awesome attitude. I hate what they've done to her lately. Get her away from John.
Yeah, Jojo - the old Natalie was a fireball. John's sucked the stuffing right out of her.
Yesterday nearly finished me off. I had to go out shortly after the beginning, but instead of leaving the TV on while I put on my boots, etc., I snapped it off as Antonio said he had to save Jessica from the fire and the scene cut to Nash and Jess making love. I mean, my god! How intensely idiotic is this writing? ACK!
jojo, i'm so w/you about natalie. i love natalie, but this relationship w/mcJerk is just ruining her. it's toxic, toxic, toxic!
okay, i disagree about rex. yes, it's wrong for him to not tell todd, HOWEVER i totally get why he's doing it. i've said before how i feel about todd's obsession about tommy. won't bother to repeat it.
i'm so over the vet *romances*. they write the characters of bo/lindsey/nora & clint/vicki/doiran as if they were all in the same HS classes w/star & the girl gang from LHS. it's beyond boring. GAH!
i still like nash & jessica, but agree wholeheartedly about antoinio rushing jessica into marriage way too fast. she was integrated what? 15 minutes?
higley can't write & that's the bottom line.
oh & what happened to mcJerk's big big transition after him nearly dying?

It lasted all of two episodes when he finally came to, then whump! Right back to the old brooding about his father garbage, and ragging on darn near everything Natalie does for him.
Although it seems that not much happened today, seeing all the Vets was worth every minute! Except for listening to nat whine about John yet again! Wish she'd move back to Llanfair and take a break!
I have been watching more faithfully since Spencer is gone, God I HATED him, but do agree with some of the things you say.
Antonio is being really nieve, although I really think he is trying to be a bigger person, but jeez how far can you go.
Jessica is KILLING me, I used to really like her but now I just want to punch her in the face! She is so bitchy and woe is me, I can't take it.
I also want to punch Christain, he should for sure tell Antonio what he knows. He and Vang totally bored me from the beginning, so I hope they stay broken up (sorry to the Cris/Vang fans)
The Dorian/Vikki/Clint thing is a total bore.
Blair is a walking contridictionn, and she sucks.
I really like:
Cole/Starr Tonia/Talia Vincent (not sure why)......oh yeah, I do not think Vincent deserves Natalie......lol Todd/Vang Linsdey/Bo.....is Paige gone (I will be SOOOO happy)
