Here's a picture of two Academy Awards that my husband's grandfather won (he won five) that are sitting on the table in our family room.

His name was Charles Brackett (his writing partner was Billy Wilder), a writer and a producer during the glory days of Hollywood.

The two that we have here are for Outstanding Service to the Academy, and The Lost Weekend.

His other three awards, for Sunset Boulevard, Titanic, and The Kind and I, are divided between my husband's sister, and their cousin.

I have to tell you that these suckers are HEAVY!!!
