In a tense and really upsetting scene (for me, anyway) Sharon falls when she fails to grasp Phyllis's hand. There's lots of hysteria as Jack and Neil get the news and move into action. Lily is sobbing hysterically and Daniel and Phyllis try to calm her down. Park Rangers arrive, say that the rescue crew is on the way. All are herded to a cafe as a command post.
Brad calls the State Police, says it's an emergency. Meanwhile Nick and Noah, at CL, get the call from Phyllis with the stunning news.
This is a really disconcerting episode! I keep walking out of the room, and my stomach's in knots!
Lauren has both Noah ans Summer with her and will take them back to her place, assures Victoria (over the phone) that she'll keep the kids away from the media so they don't learn of the accident.
Victoria notices that Brad is overly-concerned about the situation (that is, Sharon's fate).
Maggie turns up at the command post, tries speaking to Lily as Neil shows up along with Jack. Lily explains to her father about the argument and the falls, and he yells at Phyllis who is standing, shell-shocked, beside Jack.
Nick arrives at the cafe, hugs Phyllis who is trying to tell Jack how Sharon let go of her hand and fell, even though she did everything she could.
Lauren gets Noah some markers and paper to keep him busy and away from the TV. Noah's going to draw superheros or something. Whatever.
Victoria tries to keep Brad from leaving for the accident site, says she knows he loves her (V) but also knows how he feels about her (Sharon). Brad's a little taken aback by his wife's admission, like "oh shit, I've been caught".
More Lauren and Noah talking about superheros...
Nick and Phyllis discuss how the rescue team works etc. Phyllis is worried about Lily, says she wishes she could change things, blames herself over Sharon's fall. Nick tries to tell her it wasn't her fault, but Phyllis is terribly upset. And Lauren's having a little trouble entertaining Noah. He wants to watch the television.
Neil comforts Lily with tales of her mom's valour and strength. Nice scene for Neil. And sad!!!
Jack asks Maggie what the heck is going on, but Maggie doesn't have any news yet. She's there as liaison between the families and the rescue team. Jack and Maggie speculate about the women already going over the falls a mile or so downriver. It doesn't sound too good for Sharon and Dru at this point.
Back to Lauren trying to keep Noah busy, and she calls Nick at Noah's request. Noah takes the phone and tells his dad about his superhero comic book he made. Poignant stuff.
Maggie gets a call - someone has been found! Newscast is on live at the scene, reports that one woman has been found just above the falls. Medivac chopper is loading the one victim, still no identity, but we all know it has to be Sharon!

Nick and all, still at the cafe, ask for the identity of the rescued woman, but still no news.
An angry Lily tells Daniel that if his mom hadn't had a fight with Sharon, her mom might still be there now.
Michael tries to comfort Phyllis, saying she didn't want anyone to die. Phyllis is iunconsolable.
