Very cute, Tina! We had a bunny once, drove me crazy pooping all over the kitchen, chewed up the legs of the kitchen table, so I gave him back to the girl we got it from. Hope you have better luck.
So far so good, he stays in the cage unless someone is going to watch him. He does poop alot! He likes to eat alot too, Just got some hay from walmart. I dread cleaning the cage.
My daughter just wants to hold him all the time, but he jumps free and she yells "I want to hold the bunny" Driving me nuts.
My oldest son spent some time with the bunny today and that was a good break for me. I think eventually everyone will get a little bored and I wont' have to watch them every minute of the day.
The bad news is my husband hated the bunny and we had to return him. We're very sad, but he was alot of work. Much dirtier than I thought, pooped all the time and all over. Not in the litter box! He was very sweet but he also chewed up the sofa and carpet. Probably if I didn't have my husband I'd have kept the bunny and tried to train him, although not sure how smart they are.
I also felt like the bunny wanted to eat all day and he tipped over the dry food, so I kept giving him vegetables and I picked some dandelions for him. Alot of work!
So sorry, Tina. I had the same experience with a bunny and had to give him back, too. They are messy little creatures, and no they aren't particularly trainable.
