There was a recast Max on OLTL for a while - don't know the actor's name, but I really liked him. I was never a James DP fan at the best of times, but the new guy caught my attention.
On Y&R, Mackenzie was recast successfully, I thought. Again, I can't name the girls involved, but both the original and recast worked out well.
Trevor St. John as Todd Manning. Seconded by Julie Pinson as Billie Reed (I originally started with Krista Allen). And though I never saw the others, Laura Wright is working for me as Carly on GH.

I think the best recasts have been Julie P. as Billie, LW as Carly on GH (I was never a fan of Tamara or Sarah), Bree and Dan on OLTL and Alicia as Kendall on AMC.

Those were all great recasts! I'll have to vote for Tamara as Carly, she was my favorite Carly! I also think that Trevor has really done an incredible job as Todd, and made the role his own!
I'll also add JR on AMC, I can't believe that I can't remember his name. The current Lucky on GH is also very good.
One role that I really did not buy the recast for was Nicholas on GH, and when the original actor came back into the role, he really showed that he truly is Nicholas.
I think I have to agree with all of those especially Bree and Alicia. Sarah Michelle Gellar did so great as Kendall, but she really filled those Jimmy Choo's.
She's a jealous girl but still sexy as ever!
