Darkness or Light (A recreation (attempted one anyhow))

In my mind two sides fight
one for darknes of for light.

In my mind I can see the darkness
trying to overtake me. I fight the
darkness with all thats in me.

I fight the darkness and reach for
the light but without love I know
nothing's ever going to come out right.

I need someone to talk to, someone in
whom to confide, someone to help me
control my dark side.

Help me now as my two sides fight.
Help me choose what is right.

Without you darkness is all I see,
but with your love light appears to me.

Your love makes my life bright overcoming
the darkness and shattering the night.

Wherever you are and whoever you may be
hear my call and hear my plea. Help me
now as two sides fight; help me choose
between darkness or light.

The battle rages on as two sides fight
one for darkness, one for light.
