"Secrets uncovered" is the underlying theme of May Sweeps, says Head Writer Dena Higley. "We have, I would say, five major storylines that we're really driving with through spring and the sweeps period."
Todd/Blair: "There's a change of heart on Blair's part and her mission in life is to find Todd and to be reunited with him... Once we get through with this part of the story, [my goal is to reunite the supercouple and not prolong the agony any longer."
Jessica/Antonio/Nash: "Jessica and Nash come very close to telling Antonio the truth and then some big twist happens and their lives are forever entwined. It's going to be a big surprise." Viki will also be involved in the storyline, adds Higley.
The Teens: "We're starting off May with a very realistic high-school situation that's very dire and serious and based on a true story, and then we get a little lighter as the kids sort of overcome that and move off into the high-school musical." The story will feature two new characters: Henry, who is at the crux of this dire situation, and Markko (see more below).
Rex/Adriana/Tate: "We're gonna really ramp up this triangle. [Rex] starts to do some digging and makes a bold move the week of May 7, where he takes on Tate and it pisses off Adriana. And then, because Rex has gone after Tate guns afiring, Tate's father [Randolph Mantooth] comes to town concerned about him."
The Arsonist Story: "In his heartbreak over Evangeline, Cristian sort of comes over the hump of not being able to use his hands the way he used to because of the injuries he sustained and he creates this great painting... In May, the arsonist will claim another victim."
John/Natalie/Marty/Miles/Vincent: "Marty finds herself in a very delicate position because Miles has fallen madly in love with her... She starts to have these visions and panic attacks and John grows concerned for her, so he gets involved in her life, which doesn't sit well with Natalie... Vincent sort of becomes Natalie's life coach in trying to get her to move on."
Spencer's Murder: "We're building toward getting closer and closer and closer to a Spencer resolution through May Sweeps, but we sort of let that go for awhile and then with the return of David [in late May] we ramp back up again, and then it sort of takes on a different life."

As a result of the tragedy on the campus of Virginia Tech, OLTL is being forced to re-evaluate a storyline involving a hostage situation at Llanview High. A rep for ABC said they are taking a closer look at the footage to see if it's appropriate to air given the current circumstances. "The upcoming high school scenes were taped in March. In light of this week's tragic events, we are looking very closely at our storyline and making every effort to deal with this in the most sensitive way possible," the statement said.

Look for an upcoming scene involving Rex and Sarah when they discuss their lives with one another. Sarah tells Rex her singing career is over (thanks to the injury she received when she was almost strangled). She is also sad to hear about Jen's death. Rex welcomes Sarah back to Llanview and tells her he is happy to see her again. Plus, is Sarah's return in preparation for her mom's return as well?
Marty gets into a dangerous situation when her car runs out of gas and she is confronted by some thugs who want a lot more than just her money.
John struggles with his past again as he tries to deal with his break-up with Natalie.
Angel Square will not be the same after the arsonist strikes again, plus someone may die.
Rex is caught in the middle when he has to decide who will need him more.
Jessica's love-life will go from bad to worse!
John has to deal with another big dilemma.
Someone at the Llanview Police Department will have to deal with their past.
Look for an upcoming funeral, a wedding and lots of flames to hit during the May Sweeps!
There may be a lot more to Miles than anyone could have expected - Miles has a major ace up his sleeve and no one is going to see it coming! (Is he really a Laurence?)

One of Viki's daughter's become extremely sick, but someone saves the day which leads to a surprising connection to the family.
There may be a new character named Peter, who will have a connection to Viki.
Look for a new character to hit the canvas named Paula, who will be Tate's ex-wife. Rex investigates Tate's background and finds out he had been previously married, but keeps it a secret. Paula doesn't reveal much about her life with Tate, but when she asks Rex why he's interested in learning more about Tate, he mentions Adriana. Paula asks Rex if he means Tate's Adriana - which of course shocks Rex, and informs her that Adriana is his, not Tate's!
Look for Antonio to start having feelings for someone new, which brings up the question on where this will leave Jessica in the end. Will she be able to finally reunite with Nash, or will it be too late.
For all you Tina Lord/Andrea Evans fans out there - there just might be hope yet for her return, not only of this incredible actress, but also for this dynamic key character who was a huge part of Llanview for many years. So fans - write those letters to TPTB and keep your fingers crossed for Evans' return to OLTL! (There has already been rumors that Evans has already been in talks with the show's executives!)
Something from Natalie and Vincent's past will also soon come to light.

A white supremacist group, who call themselves "The One Pure People's Group" are the ones responsible for the fires in Llanview. Of course the fires have all been a part of their hate crimes against several Llanview citizens - Vincent for being an African American, Antonio for being Hispanic and Nora for being Jewish.
A new character will be involved with this storyline named Fred - who supposedly has dealt with this group before. He gets involved with Bo, Vincent, Shaun, Antonio, Talia and Nora when they meet in Bo's office to talk about how to deal with this group and bring them to justice.
Later, Todd and Blair get a visit from a Miss Bromley, who is Mr. Grey's assistant. Miss Bromley tells Todd that she thought something was wrong with the baby's adoption, and she would like to help them. Todd, of course, immediately starts to offer her money. Miss Bromley tells Todd the first thing he needs to do is prove that he is really the baby's biological father.
Look for Todd to finally learn the truth that his son is really Tommy, and he will not stop at anything in his fight to get him back from Michael and Marcie!
Nora and Lindsay will battle it out once again for Bo Buchanan - but who will win his love this time around?
Look for some great twists with Talia and Antonio - will this spell the end for Antonio and Jessica?
Rex will definitely have a fight on his hand after Tate sets his sights on Adriana, but will it be enough to save their relationship?
Historically come towards summer, most soap operas tend to focus their storylines around the teenagers/young adults - and OLTL has been no exception. So another new young female will be introduced into the Starr/Cole/Britney storyline right before summer hits. Cole and Starr will hit another snag in their relationship and supposedly will break up. Enter the new girl Heather, who throws a big birthday party and has invited both Cole and Starr, although tells them later she was unaware they had already broken up. As Cole enters the party, Heather gives him a big hug and he tells her that he appreciates that she had invited him. Cole goes on to say that he has not been to very many parties since last fall, and of course Britney in on hand and brings up the whole steroid scandal and tells them she wishes people would just forget about it. Britney also tells Cole that it was her idea that Heather invited him to the party.
Meanwhile, Heather goes searching for Starr to see if she's having a good time or not. Heather tells Starr she was not aware she had broken up with Cole, otherwise she wouldn't have invited him. At first Starr says it doesn't bother her one bit that Cole is there, but finally admits to Heather that she is not over him and it does bother her to see him.
Also look for two new characters to enter the teen scene (named Markko and Henry).
Llanview will also be getting a new cardiologist named Doug.
There is a rumor Nash may turn out to be Clint's long-lost son or somehow related to Todd. This may or may not pan out so wait and see on this one.

A new young character named Marco may soon appear in Llanview. This character will be involved with Langston - Starr's friend.
