Well another work week is starting..... This week at work should be pretty busy for me, I have a few projects that I need to get wrapped up and moved to production, so I can start on some new stuff.
I don't know if I will be around very much today. I have a customer, for a system that I built, supposedly coming over to my office today (we have two campus', which are in the process of consolidation down to one). He has to do final testing and sign-off so that I can migrate his stuff to production on Wednesday. If he comes over (he was on vacation last week, so he may have to take care of stuff in his office) then he will basically be sitting in my cubicle with me, and I will not have the freedom to surf.
On another note, I want to thank everyone for their support over the last few days with my loss of Dutchess. We have all slowly moved forward here, and while it still hurts, you guys have been great with your stories and kind words. You have shared so much and given me so many positive thoughts and suggestions.
Tess is doing much better! She is starting to act like her normal self, and is back to eating and showing some of her personality. She is here at my feet, with her head resting on them, not hiding in a corner of the kitchen. The cat is even chilling out. Their human companion is focusing on smiling and remembering a goofy little dog who brought light, love and laughter into my life.
Happy Monday to you too. Sounds like you may be busy today. Anyways, I am glad to hear that your 4 legged critters are starting to get better and move on. Same for you, such a great loss and you guys are moving along really good from it.
I am here at work but will only be doing a 4 hour shift so i can get home and putz around the house.
We were awakened at 7:30 this morning by a phone call from Nick in Australia. It was wonderful to hear his voice. He rattled on for 45 minutes with stories of their adventures and how much both he and Laura dislike the Gold Coast area but have had to bite the bullet because that's where all the jobs are.
They're leaving for Thailand on the 16th, then to Cambodia to meet up with friends and then to Laos. It's monsoon season.
Mike, last night over dinner, announced that he's leaving for Germany, also on the 16th, with a side trip to Sweden and the Arctic Circle. He said he's going to spend the Christmas school break in Antarctica. Tickets already booked. And could he please borrow a car to drive to NYC for a couple of days this week, work related. Sigh.
Tony and his little family returned home at 2 this morning from a week or so in Boston and are leaving again for Minnnesota at the end of the week.
For my thrills this morning I have to mop up dog pee from the guest room floor (Champ will not go outside if the weather doesn't suit him, little brat), do a couple of loads of laundry and do something with my hair. The humidity yesterday wreaked havoc with it and it's a frizzy mess. Then I'll go see my mother, come home and put dinner on.
