So where is everyone this week. I took yesterday off to get stuff done around the house. So today I am stuck at work all day. Argh...anyone hear of any good internet jobs you let me know. That way I could work and poor Jojo wouldnt have to go to daycare. Normally she loves daycare, but I think she is missing her daddy because I just turn on the road to daycare and she starts crying. UGH. I have 9 more years of this. And Vinnie gets back next Thursday but then he turns around and flies to Seattle on the 22nd. Argh again...
I'm home now, back from running around for my parents. I organised my father's veteran status to be bumped up to include meals and personal care, so Veteran Affairs will now pay for a few more things than they have before.
I've got my Y&R tape on, but had to pause it as Maria is vacuuming my den, and it is mega-noisy. And I'm waiting for a few telephone calls about a meeting this Saturday with the agency and Indira, the girl who will be moving into my parents' house.
Later on I'll run a few personal errands and get Ted from the subway. It's a really beautiful day out there for a change, so we'll cook outside and sit around while the doggies play on the lawn.
Anybody recommend a nice quiet vacuum cleaner? I've got a Hoover and it does a pretty good job but it's way too loud.
Well, I can't say that it's necessarily quiet, but I recently bought A DYSON! A purple one... (Okay, it's not completely purple, but it has purple accents on it.)
I love it.
Did I say that I love it?
I got it a couple of months ago, on sale at Sears. I've had many different machines over the years, and the last one I bought, the most expensive, was a Kirby. It did a great job for many years, but it's beginning to show us that it needs Dr. Kevorkian now.
The BEST thing about the Dyson is how easy it is to empty it! You just click a button (purple, in my case) to release the collection thingy (sorry men -- that's as close as I can come to correct terminology), walk it over to your trash can, click another button, and it's empty!
Take the thingy back to the main machine, and click it back into place.
The scary part is that you can see what all has been sucked up; it's clear to me now that my sick Kirby wasn't doing such a great job. I know that because I can now see what the Dyson is pulling out of the rug...
Anyway, KaeEll, if you want a new toy, and can find a good price on a Dyson, I think you ought to treat yourself.

My vacuum is a .... going blank here ... OH a Kirby! They're expensive but I got mine used on EBay, the thing works like tank, doesn't get clogged like the traditional vacuums and it uses a bag which keep all the icky dust trapped inside so I don't have to dump something out only to have it all fly up in my face.
