my so called friend blew me off!

I've been pseudo friends with this girl since 1987, and she totally dissed me,

We talked about having a play date, but she never got back to me, then I find out she called someone else and invited that person to her house! how rude. And this after she complained about our that person, just last week!

So I took this as a sign to just stop all pre-tenses of a friendship and I called about 4 other friends I haven't seen for a while to get some play dates going.

I always get so social this time of year. I'm ready to have lunch with the neighbor if I have to, I just want to get out and about.

Oh so back to that so called friend, she always has treated me like some kind of second class citizen, all these years. Anyone else in the room, who makes more money, always got her attention, if I was the only one in the room, then all of a sudden I'm good enough to talk to.

Who knows why I put up with it all this time. I can't figure it out.

this is why I love this board, even this seemingly silly problem can be discussed!smile.gif

I think I remember your mentioning this friend before. She ticked you off during a phone call a few months ago.. Is this the same one?

If so, I remember that you said she can be nice sometimes, and that you HAVE known her for a long time, but she didn't sound like much of a friend to me the first time you mentioned her, and she still doesn't sound like it now!

I think that I might be inclined to scratch this one off of my list, and move on...

Life is really way to short to play stupid games, I would definitely scratch this fair-weather individual off of the worth your while list! Especially because she is playing games related to play dates. When someone messes with kids and plans, that's a line that should not be crossed in my opinion. It's one thing to blow off a friend, it is another to mess with kids.

I just woke up from a nap and it's ten minutes to midnight. I'm ususally in bed and beyond rational thought by this hour, maybe am tonight.

Tina, get this person out of your life, asap! You don't need this kind of grief, nor do the kids. Move on and be happy.
