Here we are, mid-week again, in the doggiest days of summer, and nobody's home! Is this place like France, closed for August?
So what's up today? More wrangling with the insurance company, a quick trip out for groceries, some laundry, more muggy hotness, pining for my kids, all of them away, getting somewhat prepared for a visit from friends next week, as in thinking about changing sheets and towels....
Where is everyone? Anyway, have a lovely Wednesday. Drop in for a HELLO, okay?
Yeah yesterday was pretty quiet. Very creepy quiet. Like one of those horror shows and you're walking down a hall way in a building right before the big monster jumps out kind of quiet.

A couple, at least, of our regulars are away, en route at least. And we don't seem to be too interested in soap talk these days. The only soap that has me in any kind of talkative mood is Y&R, and my two buds from that show are definitely away.
OLTL is such a disappointment for me. I kept waiting for it to pick up, and all I'd see is Todd (who I can't stand now) or John and Rex, and JPL has this gay vibe that bugs the heck out of me, never did before, or Marcie teetering on the edge of losing her child, which we know will happen. Then there's Viki being led down a route that she'd never really take (allowing Miles to move into the carriage house) and it's just all too un-OLTL-like.
The one thing I did get a chuckle out of yesterday was John. I actually like his dry wit and sarcasm.
Oh well. I have to research getting tickets to Cirque du Soleil which is here now. Our friends from NY will be here on the 15th and we want to take them. I love their tents! They set up on the Lakeshore inside Ontario Place grounds, across from the CNE. So festive and exciting! We used to go every single summer, stopped a few years back, and it's time to resurrect the tradition.
Nothing much doing at all today, Herbst. But the Y&R was a treat today. Gah, I wish somebody else here watched it. Jojo and Shelly are the only ones I know of. They would have enjoyed the naked Ji Min, well almost naked. I'd have done a recap, but there isn't much incentive when it gets one viewing, lol.
It's really hot here - 35 degrees and humid, so I'm staying inside as much as I can. I suppose I could do something productive, but I'm not in the mood yet. That kind of stuff is so unpleasant, giving myself a break. But I will go take some meat out of the freezer for dinner. Does that count? (Hmmmm, steaks or pork tenderloin?)
35 degrees? You sure you aren't freezing there Kae! LOL. I know, celesius versus fahrenheit. Yeah it's been starting to warm back up here. 90s for the rest of the week it seems.

Hey there! I have been having an insane week here at work. My home computer has been turned off since last Friday, and I have not turned it on.... That's not to say that my work laptop has not been on a few times, but I have been attempting to get stuff done around the house. I also had my cable upgraded to high definition with DVR, so I have been enjoying catching shows that I normally miss, and fast forwarding through commericals and the stuff that I don't care about.
I managed to watch all Zendall baby stuff, and FF through the rest. I should have gotten this months ago! I can do all my soap watching in 10 minutes!
Heck I may need to schedule Y&R to record, to see what that show is all about.
I'm sorry that I have been MIA. I have to work tonight from home, so I may be stopping by then.
