This place has been pretty sleepy this past week! Where the heck is everybody?
Today is the usual Saturday chores of shopping and mopping. Mike's coming back tomorrow from a month away in Germany and France with a couple of side trips thrown in for variety, and we pick him up around 6. Tony's back from NYC and Nick, well, who knows where he is. Last post in his blog was from the Mekong Delta a day ago. He seems to have developed a fondness for snakes. Uck.
The new stove (Kenmore plain Jane model) won't be installed until Thursday and our friends from Hudson-on-Croton arrive Wednesday, so that'll be lots of fun. They desperately want to see a soccer game, but ALL tickets are sold out! Every last one of them! They suggested a few websites where scalpers post.
Mine hopefully will be pretty laid back. I just came inside from mowing the lawn. I spoke to Christine this morning. She is here in Massachusetts, visiting with family. It sounds like she is having a great visit, and getting to see much of the local spots. Yesterday she was driven around Boston, had a seafood meal, and met relatives. I believe that she has more of that on her agenda for today. I'm sure that she will tell everyone about her Massachusetts adventure. Her flight was uneventful.
Work has been insane for me, and I went on computer rebellion, and did not even have my home computer turned on for a week. So I have basically been out straight with work, that's why I have been MIA.
I hope that everyone is having a great weekend, and congratulations on finding a new store, KaeEll. I have a Kenmore myself, and I love it. My stove, refridgerator, washer and riding mower are all from Sears. I really like their products along those lines. I have the built-in version with all the bells and whistles. It is pretty amazing.
