We open with Phyllis holding Summer and Nick coming down the stairs, warm exchange between them as she thanks him for last night's dance. He says they'll do it again soon, and today they'll take care of the important things together.
Over to CL as Daniel dashes off to work for Jack and Kevin awaits a call from Jana's doctor. Colleen phones Kevin to ask how all is going. She's at Adrian's and he's half naked, kisses Colleen, and they get into it again about her concern for Kevin.
Kevin learns that Jana's surgery will be in 2 weeks and he flips out that it's too long, the surgery must be done today!
Niki and David over breakfast discuss the methane business. He'd rather they were having breakfast in bed.
Ji Min and Jill in bed - she wants to talk about their new business and he wants to make love. She wants it to be a smashing success so that her mother will choke on herpoisonous words about her.
Michael and Kay at breakfast in GCAC discuss Kay's desire to disinherit her daughter by emending the trust.
Back at Phyllis and Nick's place - he rubs her shoulders as she fills her briefcase with papers, says she'll melt into a puddle if he keeps that up and she tries to make light of going to prison. They are growing closer, warmer - he wants to be around her at work in case she needs him.
Jack leaves Daniel to work on his project and his computer seizes up, frustrating him. Daniel calls Kev but he has to cut himself off straightaway.
Niki says bye to David and he looks at her with a lecherous grin. Ji Min and Jill discuss business, Katherine, and Jill's motives for their new venture. Slight disagreement.
Katherine spells out to Michael how she'd like the trust distributed and the lion's share that would have been Jill's is to go to Cassie's Challenge and the rest go to her son and grandchildren. Kay believes that they will handle the money wisely. Michael questions Kay's motives, Kay says she doesn't want that con man (Ji Min) to get his hands on her money, and figures Ji Min won't marry her daughter when he learns that Jill's been cut from the will. Michael suggests she's only trying to control Jill, Kay snorts, says wait until your son grows up.
Colleen and Adrian again - she says his book is awesome, brilliant and she's in love with him, kiss, kiss. Then Brad is brought up - she says do NOT tell him about the book because he'd try to stop it's publication the same way he blocked the Paris job. She's HAD it with her father.
Michael warns Kay that she may lose Jill over this, is it worth it? Maybe not, says Kay. Kevin calls him, needs him right away as it's a matter of life and death. Michael sighs and leaves Kay and the GCAC just as Ji Min and Jill take a seat across the dining room. Kay demands that Michael get these changes done today. (Sheesh - Kay and Niki are royal pains these days, LOL.)
Jack and Daniel in Niki's office as Daniel explains his computer problem and that's why his report isn't done. Niki's miffed and snitty about it as Jack is understanding. Phyllis and Nick arrive and overhear Niki's nasty remarks about Daniel. Phyllis slams her briefcase down, says leave her son alone. Nick looks around, takes it all in, as if he's trying to get a bead on the real dynamics of the relationships. Niki stomps off in another one of her haughty snit-fits. Short but good scene.
Kevin begs Michael to help Jana get her surgery more quickly. Michael explains that the hospital probably won't risk a lawsuit if Jana dies waiting for her operation, thinks he can make that point to them.
Colleen says goodbye to Adrian as she's off to errands and a check-in with Kevin. Just then Jana calls to ask Adrian to stop by the hospital to see her.
Phyllis and Daniel meet Kevin at CL.. Daniel's pleased that he fixed his computer problem without Kevin's assistance (a little plot point here?). Phyllis agrees to a movie (Transformers) with her son, say how generous Jack was to give both of them time off today to spend together. Daniel's afraid he'll let Jack down somehow and his mother gives him the old buck-up talk, it's human to err, etc.
Niki's all bitchy to an employee on the phone regarding a spa problem, then asks Nick if he knows anybody who can run a spa. Nick says yep, his wife. They discuss whether or not she and Victor are getting dicorced and she replies that they haven't discussed that, but she can't live with him. Nick asks what's up with her and this David guy. She'll get back to him on that.
Kay joins Ji Min on a sofa at the GCAC, says she believes Jill is still upset with her over what happened to her son so many years ago. (Duh, ya think maybe?) Kay tells him that she believes Jill is using him to get even with her, and highly doubts that she's wrong. Ji Min counters that he and Jill WILL be married. Kay asks him if h's ever asked himself why Jill is with him, and Ji Min looks down thoughtfully. A big "hmmmmm" all over his face.
Phyllis, Daniel, Summer and Nick in a playful little domestic scene. Nick looks on warmly.
David and Niki - she thanks him for all his support, how about they go for dinner. He's pleased they have a "date".
Adrian arrives at Jana's room. She's sooooo grateful Kevin and Colleen have forgiven her, and that if anything happens to her, Kevin will have Colleen to take care of him. Adrian's not thrilled by that thought.
Kevin's freaking out about Jana's situation, Colleen tried to calm him down.
Jill's with Jack discussing Ji Min. Jack suggests that Ji Min could be a very bad man if he was in on the Jabot front thing and plants a seed of doubt in Jill's mind about whether or not she should trust Ji Min.
Michael sits down with Kay as he has the papers ready for the trust changes. She sadly signs the documents and hands them back to Michael.
Next:
Jill tells Cane that it's possible that Ji Min has been lying to her all this time.
Phyllis tells Jack that Sharon will run to Nick.
Sharon tells Neil that she thinks she's falling in love with Nick again.
From what I saw today, Nick seems to be both amused and surprised by his reaction to Phyllis and maybe even his feelings for her. He makes lots of warm and loving gestures towards her, says all the right things, maybe out of a sense of duty, but it seems that his feelings are following suit. I might be naive, but it does appear that he's acting genuinely, notwithstanding his old attachment to Sharon. Nick looks like the genuine, honest guy here, to me, anyway.
Jana and Adrian sibs? I like it!
Did you read that Eric Steinberg was let go? Ta ta Ji Min, non?
yeah I read that, and it seems that when Jill learns/figures out about his involvement in Jabot he will be out the door. Its sad I thought they were good together, but maybe they can put her with Jeffrey...I always thought her and William had good chemistry.
and I kind of thought that Nick looked genuine when I saw yesterdays show, Im liking how this is going. Should be good
