I told you a couple of months ago that a rather significant event was about to rock Pine Valley and this is now being confirmed this week by Soaps In Depth. This event will affect many lives causing a ripple effect down the line.
Zach and Kendall's love is tested yet again when Hannah returns to town however it's Annie and Ryan that must face some serious obstacles yet to come. I think most of you have figured out who that leading man is that has asked to be let out of his contract. Keep in mind that asking to be released and the show allowing you to leave are two totally different things. If he remains it will be with a bit of understandable angst.
Greenlee and Aidan decide to be friends only after giving in to a night of passion however both find that what they feel is much more then friendship as time goes on. Greenlee makes an unlikely friend and Kendall has to fight something more then her own fear.
Lindsay will be arrested but there is much more to this story. Seems everyone believes they killed Spencer Truman. Could it be the water supply or has David Heyward crossed over and dropped a little something special in Llanview's water supply? Look for more surprises to come with this one.
Langston is adopted by a very colorful Llanview resident once Social Services makes her a ward of the state. Seems Britney was getting bored and had to find something to amuse herself now that Starr and Cole are so immersed in one another. Britney places a call to Social Services letting them know that Langston is living all alone as a minor. We learn that Langston's parents died over a year and she's been taking care of herself ever since. Not to worry as this sad story has a bright ending. Hear-tell that Langston has blood relatives in Llanview right under her own nose. The show wants to tie her in so look for this story to grow as we go along.
Ron's listening to what the actors would like to do so there could be some rather large rewrites coming that will put a wrench into one planned reunion possibly two. It's time to shake things up in Llanview and the new team plans on doing just that. Fans of OLTL were delighted with what they felt was truly old home week in Llanview. It was incredible watching Alex weave her magic once again as the town troublemaker. It's as if time stopped for Tonja Walker who looked absolutely fabulous. Many had a tear in their eyes as they watched Cord, Joey, Max and Kevin board their planes (loved those scenes between Blair and Max)! For the first time in years it really felt like Llanview again. This magic continued as we watched those scenes of Lindsay and Nora from a time when we all recognized our surroundings and knew what show we were watching. I get the feeling that things are going to start feeling more like home as we progress and hopefully we won't be let down because we've been there done that already.
I told you that Farrah Fath's (Gigi) "new" character might end up ingratiating herself in between a couple with a rather vocal fan base last week. Well if what I am hearing is correct, it's on folks. For that certain Llanview fan base, remember to try and remain calm. Exits are to the side and remember to put on your oxygen masks. We're hearing that Gigi may not be a stranger once the smoke clears.
And a new script was released this week by ABC for the role of Mrs. Woodrow on OLTL. Below is a summary of the script:
The scene opens with Britney staging a scene when she starts yelling that Langston is hurting her and tells her to let go of her arm. She is doing this for effect as a very stern looking woman enters the room with a man by her side.
The woman shouts for Langston to let go of Britney and asks Britney if she is all right. Britney says that she's OK and Langston says "Oh please" and rolls her eyes.
The woman looks at Langston and asks her if she is indeed Langston Wilde. Markko speaks up and asks her why she wants to know. The stern looking woman identifies herself and says she and the man at her side are from Social Services. They go on to tell Langston that they have been looking for her. That she needs to come with them. Langston becomes very upset and tells them that she is going nowhere with them.
They tell her that she has no choice. That they have discovered that her parents died over a year ago and she has been living alone as a minor. Mrs. Woodrow says that Child Protective Services should have been called over a year ago. Langston says that she is not a child and is doing just fine.
Cole chimes in and asks Mrs. Woodrow who it was that called them and gave them this information. Britney begins backing away a bit. Starr quickly adds that Langston has been staying with her and her family. Mrs. Woodrow says that won't do. That there are laws that everyone must abide by. She goes on to declare Langston now a ward of the state. Scene ends.

While in Ryan's company, Annie covers her fear by saying the watch was from her father, who wants to repair their splintered relationship. Dr. Hilliard is swayed by Kendall's emotional appeal for him to take Spike on as a patient and agrees to treat him. Dr. Hilliard gives Kendall special vitamins to give to Spike. SOD Fall Preview courtesy of Proteus from SOC:
"We're setting up some things that are going to really explode, setting up relationships that are really going to blossom-or in some cases, fracture," says Co-Head Writer James Harmon Brown. "And as we get toward the end of October and into November, " adds his writing partner Barbara Esensten,"it's going to be, 'Oh My God!'"
Zach/Kendall: "Kendall is dealing with Spike's situation pretty much along the lines of denial, denial and finally kicking and screaming into acceptance," offers Brown. Hannah returns with a mysterious agenda and says Esensten, "Whatever happened that night [when she asked Zach to impregnate her] is going to affect his relationship with Kendall."
Jack/Erica : "They love each other, they are meant to be together and they know that deep down," asserts Brown. "But they will really be tested by all the things that will be going on with their children."
Annie/Ryan:"The fall with Annie is going to be the discovery of her past, who she is, which is going to challenge the Annie/Ryan relationship for some time," Brown notes.
Julia/Tad/Krystal/Adam: Says Esensten, "Just from how [Julia] reconnects with Tad, you will know where the story is going." Moving into November sweeps, the "Kathy is Kate" secret is poised to pop and will, according to Brown, affect "the Adam/Krystal relationship and the Krystal/Tad relationship."
Greenlee/Aidan: "You can tell by the way that they look at each other and depend on each other that there are feelings there," Esensten says.
Amanda/JR/Ava/Jonathan/Lily/Babe/Wes: "JR is going to be involved with Ava and Amanda," Brown begins, "and trying to get his own business going, which puts him at odds with Babe, "whose involvement with newbie Wes incites JR's jealousy. "We think it's a surprisingly poignant story that's going to play for some time; It's also going to involve Lily."
Colby/Sean: "We want to establish them within the group [of teens, which expands to include Dre, Corrina, Ren]," Brown explains. "Colby is going to be part of the whole Tad/Krystal/Adam business."

Woman Of The Year becomes inmate of the week courtesy of Carolyn Hinsey at the New York Daly News:
By CAROLYN HINSEY Friday, August 24th 2007, 4:00 AM
Lindsay takes the podium to accept her "Woman of the Year" award today on "One Life to Live," and is promptly arrested for Spencer's murder.
"Lindsay does not see it coming," says Catherine Hickland, who plays the surprised culprit. "She was shocked enough that she was getting this award, because she's been the town pariah for so long. As she gets closer, she has an uneasy feeling."
Because she knows she's the murderer?
"Yes, but also because Nora is the one presenting," says Hickland, referring to her character's nemesis. "She doesn't know what Nora will say. So Lindsay has a lot of things on her mind on the way to collect the award and give that speech."
Indeed, Nora does bring up their checkered history, which provides the excuse for "OLTL" to use some raucous clips from the past.
"It's pretty great," touts Hickland, "because when Nora is giving the speech about Lindsay, she is speaking in double entendres. As she says certain things, it will make sense to the audience because those scenes will be shown in flashback. It's legendary cat fight stuff."
After Nora introduces Lindsay, the "winner" takes the stage.
"She's giving her speech and all of a sudden, her guilt begins to eat at her," says Hickland. "She's dying to tell, but she can't. So she starts to unravel. As all of this is starting to happen, [Detective] John McBain is closing in on her. The show is just fraught with tension."
Which culminates in Lindsay's arrest.
"She begs and pleads with John, but he is quite cold about it," says Hickland. "He knows the truth."
The prevailing wisdom is that Lindsay killed Spencer because he threatened to reveal baby Tommy's true parentage (Todd!) and she wanted to protect Marcie and the baby.
"You won't know why she did it until the trial, which we have to protect because it's a Lana Turner 'I want to live!' moment," says Hickland. "Lindsay doesn't want to tell Marcie the truth because she is like a daughter to her. She doesn't want her to suffer."
But Marcie will suffer when the truth is revealed in the coming weeks.
"It's going to be more than Marcie can bear," warns the actress. "Marcie can't have another baby on her own, so this will be the only child she will ever know. It's terrible."
As terrible as Lindsay's prison wear is going to be?
"I'm wearing Seven jeans and a tight sweater in jail," responds Hickland. "This isn't reality, it's a drama. Nobody wants to see me in an orange jumpsuit."
An unusual 'Housewife':
Hot on the heels of hiring former "One Life to Live" star Nathan Fillion (ex-Joey) to play the new gynecologist in town comes word that "Desperate Housewives" has brought on "OLTL's" Tuc Watkins (David) to play one half of a gay couple who moves to Wisteria Lane.
Described as "antisocial" (hmmm, wonder why?), Watkins' character will be paired with Kevin Rahm, last seen on "Judging Amy."
Watkins' "desperate" new gig will not interfere with his planned return to "OLTL" for the November ratings sweeps, when David's new status as the Buchanan heir will be hilariously addressed.
Update on Farah Fath from SOD:
Former DAYS starlet Farah Fath (ex-Mimi), who is joining ONE LIFE TO LIVE, finally has a character name: Gigi Morasco, but OLTL Executive Producer Frank Valentini will say little more. "[Her story] is going to be a total surprise," he teases. "Everybody's just going to have to tune in. She's a very exciting performer and I'm really looking forward to working with her." After spending the summer in her hometown of Lexington, KY, Fath reports to work in September and will start airing on October 24.

SID fall spoilers courtesy of LiveOne at Soapzone:
Headwriter Robert Guza Jr. kicks up the Mob quotient this fall on GH as the underworld gets the upper hand in Port Charles. "We're going to do another 'burn down the house' sweeps, which is going to start this umbrella that involves more than just Mob-related people," he previews. But will people die? "Of course!" he grins. "There will be lots of deaths. Even the nanny gets it!"
Sonny's Rival Makes A Move! The much-talked about Anthony Zacchara obviously presents a major threat to Sonny and his loved ones. But just when will actually arrive? "You may or may not see him for a while," says Guza. "He could be like the Wizard in The Wizard of Oz. He could be somebody quite different from the what you might think. He could even be a she." And the new bad guy on the block's associate, Trevor, could drive a stake into the heart of Sonny's romance with Kate. "Very soon, their relationship is going to become deadly serious... and I stress the word deadly. This is more than a wrench in their relationship - it's the entire hardware store."
Trouble Ahead For Jax & Carly! Sonny will go to great lengths to protect Carly after the boys' nanny has been killed. His plan - have Carly and the kids move in with him! "She's not going to like the idea," says Guza. "She thinks she is fully capable - with Jax - of taking care of herself and her sons. Let's just say she's wrong." But being under the same roof as Sonny isn't the only obstacle her marriage will face thanks to brother-in-law Jerry. "Let's not forget that Carly's best friend on earth has just gotten off on a murder count because of Jerry. She owes him more than one favor. And he's definitely one to call in favors!"
A Future For Jason & Liz? Jason is finding it much more to not be a father than he ever expected. "Ultimately, he and Liz are going to have to deal with the whole idea that Jason has, in fact, been able to protect his loved ones. If in face he can, why aren't they together?" At the same time, Lucky remains oblivious to the fact that Jake really isn't his son. But for how long? "If Lucky and Liz don't manage to make this work, there is a child between them whom Lucky fervently loves as his own, and he's not going to let that go under any circumstances, whether he's with Elizabeth or not."
Nikolas' Dark Side! "Nikolas' princely behavior is going to complicate things. Then in the fall, it's going to blow all to hell," says Guza. "His [behavior] will be affecting everybody and every thing, including his relationship with Emily." Although all the external obstacles that once plagued Nikolas and Emily have been put to rest - or, at least, are at bay - more loom on the horizon. "Jerry's threat seems to have been neutralized, and Helena is out of the picture right now... we think. It looks like relatively smooth sailing for Emily and Nikolas. But it's not." The scribe also hints that Nikolas has been spending time with another woman for a resaon. "The Sam/Nikolas connection is not accidental. It is something to pay attention to."
And The Rest... For fans who have been hoping to see Alan interacting with people other than Tracy, it's going to happen but perhaps not the way one would assume. Meanwhile, expect Maxie and Logan's bet to blow up this fall. Will Logan's deception cost him Lulu? If Lulu suddenly finds herself single again, might Spinelli be given the opportunity to woo Luke's daughter? Finally, Robin is beginning to feel her biological clock ticking. But are she and Patrick on the same page? And if not, how will the town's most temperamental couple handle this extremely important issue?
OK guys, color me gone. Have a fabulous weekend! Muah! :)
I think I will like Greenlee and Aidan together, I hope it will last though. He just goes from woman to woman as they try to find the perfect match for him.
