Maybe I'm crazy, but.....(Cole and his mama)

Does anyone else pick up on a non-maternal kind of vibe going on here? Maybe I'm looking at these two with a jaundiced eye, but please, too creepy. Yick!

I'll refrain from adding further, ahem, unlady-like observvations here, but I know somebody else must see this too. Non?

I haven't seen OLTL yet today...it comes on in a few minutes. I'll pay attention and tell ya what I think though.

GAH. I just came from SOC. While I've never been a fan of Marcie, I'm shocked at the number of folks there hanging her up to dry for being a kidnapper! Am I watching a different show? I mean, I'm pretty sure Marcie had no knowledge of this beforehand. Now, people are wanting her knocked off her high horse. WTF?

That's SOC fer ya, Jojo. Buncha nutbars there, all Todd agoggle.

Marcie's completely innocent in this, and I've never been a big fan of the character either, but in this case, she has 100% of my sympathies.

Do you remember the real life case in Florida many years ago where babies were accidentally switched at birth in the hospital, and it wasn't discovered for ages? If I remember correctly, the children stayed with the parents who raised them, and then one of the little girls died. Sad.

I've read that Ron C is a lawyer (why on earth he's writing for a soap is another matter) so maybe he'll bring some real life law into this story. That would be nice for a change. On the other hand, in what court could an escaped prisoner have a judge suspend an arraignment in order to hear the prisoner's ranting accusations? Sigh.

I do remember that case!

Ron C. is a lawyer? Someone should tell the nutbags at SOC. LOL.

I see what you are saying. For me, they seem too close in age (on the show, not just rl) and they don't seem like mom and son. Maybe aunt and nephew would fly.

Well, I'm watching now, and I don't really see anything icky. I dunno though. She seems to be too young to be his mom, but that's all I see.

not that I was a huge fan of Marty, but I would rather have the original Marty. She was the girl that went thru the whole rape ordeal and she also forgave Todd and they had some great scenes together. Now when I see her, I just think of her as a woman on the show who just happens to be called Marty, you know!

Well, yeah, the closeness in age is a factor, for sure. But to me, it's more than just that. I look at this Brandon Buddy kid and I see him practically salivating over his co-star CC, and it isnn't a son-to-mother kind of thing.

Or maybe it's the writing. Have you EVER known a teenage boy to gush and fawn over his mother, telling her how much he lurves her, how wonderful it is to have everything back to normal? Well, my damn kids never did that, except maybe on a birthday card and they are fairly typical specimens.

But I digress. I'm in a huge bitchy mood right now.

No usually they don't gush, but I think they are trying to show a special bond since the dad passed away

why so bitchy today???

Hey, Tina, to answer your question, we are leaving for a wedding in Quebec tomorrow morning (6 hour drive) and I really don't want to go. I love the guy who is getting married, but it's a lot of trouble to go through - the packing, taking dogs to the kennel, organising their pick-up (long story) and two of my kids have me really worried at the moment. Not to mention my parents.

The break will be nice, but it's the getting there I'm not looking forward to. And then my husband is going to be really late coming home tonight, AGAIN, because he's super busy at work right now and he's trying to tidy up all the loose ends so he can take Thursday and Friday off.

Then the mother of the bride is hosting a litttle do for all the out-of-towners on Saturday at 2, which means if we go, and I really don't want to, but husband insists, we'll be driving back here in the dark. I have major issues about driving on highways, like Moore does with flying.

So that on top of not being able to find my evening purses - well I do know where they are, but I need my husband to climb up a ladder to get them down, and I was planning on using one of my mother's, but when I went over there, they were OUT, even though they were expecting me.....

And my French is rusty.

more often than not....esp in only situations......the parent/child lines become very blurred & that's what i think we're seeing w/marty & cole.

i'm so disgusted w/the way SOC is pillorying marcie & rooting for todd. no one gives a thought to the fact that marcie knew nothing....and i truly don't think michael should condemned. they are two people who are fighting to save their son. that case in florida was one of the only times the best interests of the children were put first.

todd is not a good father....even to star. he swings between overindulgent to completely overbearing. i think he need some lithium.
