Sami reveals that she will now in fact marry EJ! Marlena pleads with Sami not marry EJ, but she says that she must for the sake of the family. Tony is asked to run the DiMera empire. Kate lashes out at EJ. Bo and Hope remember their son. Stephanie spies on Max as Jeremy leaves Salem. Belle finds herself in the arms of another man! Sami goes into labor!

MARLENA to JOHN: "IT'S OKAY TO DIE"
Marlena and Belle learn that John won't last the night because of the injuries from the hit-and-run. Marlena wills John to live but finally accepts that his injuries are just far too great. With Marlena holding her beloved John she whispers it is okay for him to go and he dies. The day of John's funeral service Stefano arrives to pay his respects, but a strong Marlena stands up to him and won't let him anywhere near John's casket and then throws him out of the church! Afterwards, Marlena breaks down in her apartment when she returns home and sees John's things!
