The flight home Saturday from Phoenix was very uneventful and smooth, which, considering the hell trip I had there two weeks previous, made me very happy! I'm confident I passed the class. (Although there is this little nagging part of me that is really worried about the second car we had to write a damage estimate on. If I did fail, I would just have to go back for a few days.)
Anyway, hopefully this is the last of my long training trips. I'm traveled out. I can't wait to jump in at work Monday morning!!!
Oh,and I have some pretty good news...I got word while I was away that I was able nab an apartment! I'm very excited about it. Considering the high rent in this city, I got a heck of a deal. It's $675/month, and that includes water and gas. The electric bill won't go above say, 60 bucks in the summers. I'll just have to make sure I get tv and net hooked up, and I'll be good to go! I get to move in after Dec. 10, becuase they are busy right now putting in new carpet and linoleum. And as much as I've whined about my sister in law, I owe this to her. The waiting list for apartments at this complex is 300+, and she knew someone there and got me put at the top. Bless her!
So, how is everyone else doing?!? I've missed you gals and guys like crazy!
Congratulations on the wonderful apartment news! That's great, you guys will be able to settle in just in time for Christmas. I'll bet that Jackson is really excited, along with his mom!
Congratulations on wrapping up your training! I'm sure that you are going to make an awesome claims adjuster! I take it that you will be doing the physical damage claims?
Welcome back Jojo!! You have seriously been missed. Glad to have you back with us. I bet Jackson is so happy to have you home. And oh how nice that the two of you will be in your own place soon. And just in time for the holidays. Thats nice.
You havent missed much, sweeps are good but not good enough that we have been doing any LP's or anything like that. This place has been kind of quiet.
Anyways, I just know you did well on all of your classes.
And yes, we are VERY excited to have our own place. I was so excited, I spent nearly $200 on kitchen stuff today. Hehe....
Shel, I must admit, I haven't been watching soaps at all. I always seem to miss OLTL on soapnet. Has Marcie been caught yet?
Yup, Sophia, I'll be doing PD claims. That was my most recent class, PD. Hard stuff. Just knowing all parts of a car was enough to make me feel like my brain was oozing, LOL. We have to have special training to handle any injury claims, and it will be a while before I do any of that.
Welcome back, Jojo!! You sure were missed around here. And congratulations on passing the training course, which I'm sure you did, and on the apartment!
Shelly's right about it having been quiet. If I watch OLTL at all, it takes me about 10 minutes if I bother at all. And yes, Marcie is still on the run. But the second John and Todd appear on screen, I flip right through it, so I'm not much help in bringing you up to speed, if you care at all, lol.
Y&R was pretty good with the explosion at Clear Springs and all but has settled into a Gloria and Jeffery story now that isn't too thrilling for me, but I'm still watching it with more diligence than any other soap.
Otherwise, life has been busy with a new little one on the scene and lots of baby-sitting and cooking. I was about to have a week of relief as my son's m-i-l was supposed to be here to help with the children but she got stuck in Boston (where she lives) by the rain storm.
OH YAY!!! Jojo's back. You've been missed dear. Not much new like they all said. General Hospital is good right now, and I'm trying very hard to pay attention to Y&R, but I swear Cody gave me his ADD lol. OH my GOSH I just got a text. My friend Rainne had her baby. It's a month and a half early though. I got calls to make bbl.
Clear Springs blew up? Wow, I have to get back to the soaps! I'll bet you are enjoying the babysitting, Kae! I'll send mine your way....hehe.
Tina, what Sophia said mostly right about the physical damage...in our company, we call it property damage, but she's right...it's the stuff that doesn't involve the person's injuries. Those are separate exposures that are dealt with very differently. I'll be referring cars to our network shops, and if they choose a shop of their own, I'll be going out, and writing the damage estimate on the vehicle.
