Late last night I went into the kitchen for a glass of water before going to bed and found the kitchen floor covered in thick soap suds pouring out of the bottom of the dishwasher, which was going full tilt. I had turned it on about half an hour earlier.
After mopping up the horrible mess with almost every towel in the house, I went to bed where my husband had been asleep for a couple of hours.
Just as I was about to call the repairman today, it hit me! Somehow, dish washing-up liquid had found its way into the machine. I called my husband and asked him if he had any idea.....Yes, he said, he had plopped a thick thread of Palmolive liquid across the top of the pan I used to bake the fish on last night - thought it would help get rid of the grease, but he went to bed before rinsing it off. And then I loaded the dishwasher, and turned it on, unaware of his new-found kitchen "skills".
Anyway, that little revelation saved me from what could have been a couple of hundred bucks, and now all the towels are clean as well as the floor.
Lesson: Never put anything except dishwasher detergent into a dishwasher! And if ever somebody kindly assists in the kitchen, keep an eye on them. You just never know...
And then there was the time he decided he hated Zest soap and flushed almost an entire bar of it down the main bathroom toilet. It didn't dissolve. The plumber said he'd never had to snake out anything blue before.
Any of you ladies had similar experiences with "help" around the house, lol?
haha, what a mess. Your right at least its not broken. I havent had similar experiences because my husband doesnt help. On the rare occasion when he does he always puts things away in the wrong places. Not nearly as bad as your experiences
