I'm sure all of you old pros here already know about this, but I'll post it anyway. This almost happened to me, so it was kind of helpful to hear this.
My friend, the shopping expert who lives in a Toronto suburb, runs a medical clinic up there. She told me that every single year, a few days before Thanksgiving and Christmas, the 2 big turkey days here, they always get a run of patients in there with broken feet. The ladies always admit, after feeling very dumb and embarrassed, that they tried hauling their turkeys out of the freezer by the tag on the end of it. Tag breaks off, bird falls, lands on lady's foot and whack. Every single year!
Anyway, there ya'll go. No dragging that big ol' Tom out of the freezer by its tag, okay? You have been warned!
thanks for the advice Kae, this year we are pretty headset on getting a fresh turkey. But I will make the hubby go get it. Will probably be the only thing he does for the dinner.
Tina I drop everything too, thankfully I have a husband who is convinced that I am not carefull enough to not hurt myself and does all that stuff for me...Annoys me but I guess at least I am not broken yet
Lol my husband never offers, but I've taught him that unless he gets the stuff out of the oven for me I'll just let it burn ... then order take out for everyone except him. Yeah Im kinda mean I know, but he needed to learn. I begged and pleaded and he ignored me ... naughty naughty boy!
