Day ahead November 27 comments

I've been watching while cooking and sat down for a break (my kitchen tiled floor is a killer on my back after a while).

Most of today's epi is about the court hearing regarding Victoria's baby and Brad's interference with it. There are bits of Cane and Lily's growing attraction to one another, and Gloria buttering up Jeffery and planting the idea in his head that the "she" in William's letter could actually be Jill. Oh, Brad has found a letter written by Victoria, insists that the judge read it.

Next:

Jack tells Sharon that his survival instincts tell him that he should finish off Victor while he still can. Sharon looks a little shocked.

Michael tells the court that in light of this new evidence Mr. Newman has the right to speak.

Brad, holding Victoria's letter, addresses the judge saying that he (judge) has read it and now knows that Victoria loves her baby more than life itself.

(Brad! Gotta just love him, eh? There's a great line from Victor today when he calls Brad "that character".)

I am SO confused about Brad. Didnt they decide that since the baby was so young that it couldnt be Brad's. Why is he involved in this. Why isnt JT fighting more?

I hate that Jack is going after Victor right now, its instances like this that I think Jack deserves everything he gets.

That's a really good point, Shelly. I'm not used to this kind of non-sequitor from Y&R. They ought to all know that if the baby is only 23 weeks, it HAS to be JT's. As I said before, ever since Victoria's been in the coma, I haven't been too keen on watching with the same kind of enthusiasm I used to have.

It's almost as if Don Diamant has some kind of clause in his ccontract that says he has to be in as many s/ls as exist, hence his ridiculous role in the hearing and his request to be the baby's guardian.

I'm looking forward to the end of the coma vigil and on to other things. TPTB really dropped the ball this time, and I don't want to be critical of the one last soap I actually do watch.

As for Jack, I read somewhere that Sharon convinces him to hold off on a Victor attack. I hate it too when Jack presses his luck. He should just let this one ride.

And one more thing, since I'm on a little bitch jag - Gloria has way too much air time for my tastes. She's okay in moderation, but her constant scheming is boring me.

I totally agree about both Gloria and this boring coma storyline. I would have preferred they sent the coma body off to some clinic where we only hear about how she is doing until the actress comes back. Its a shame you dont watch General Hospital, its pretty good.
