I was up with the birds and showered, then went off to colllect little Vanessa for a shoe shopping spree as she needed new party shoes for tomorrow, a family Christmas gathering (my father's side). So we trundled off to Payless where she found two pairs she loved - one of them being sparkly "gold" shoes with a brown bow on top. By that time her mommy and baby brother had found us at the store and we all trooped off to the Hot Oven Bakery for sandwiches and chocolate milk. Then a quick stop at Yves Rochet for perfume and discovered that my favourite was discontinued. Drat! I hate having to find a new fragrance - I always end up smelling like a cheap tart after one of those expeditions.
Oh, and there was a Santa at the mall that scared the dickens out of Vanessa. The two little kids on his lap were bawling their eyes out as the poor photographer did his best to snap a decent pic of them. Same story every Christmas, lol.
Back at my son's house I folded about 8 loads of laundry while waiting for d-i-l and baby to come back, then home here for a quick cup of tea. Ted just left to go buy the heavy groceries and in half an hour I have to pick up my mother and drive her to her hair appointment, back to the other end of town for the dry cleaning, back to collect mother and drive her home. Then I can come home and put my feet up until it's time to cook dinner. If all goes well, that will be all of about 10 minutes.
BTW, the girl that waited on us in Payless looked exactly like Kate Walsh! When I told her so, she said that people tell her that all the time and she still doesn't know who Kate Walsh is, lol. With looks like hers, I had to wonder what the heck she was doing working in a cheapie shoe store when she could easily have been on television or something. Strange world.
And now I need another cup of tea. Where is everybody, anyway?
I didn't do much. I made a run to the store for snacks and pop before the snow piled up too high. It started snowing overnight and didn't stop until about an hour ago. So, I didn't do much but play board games with jackson and drink hot cocoa.
mmm hot cocoa, I cant believe how deserted this place has been. We havent gotten snow yet but its been so cold its rediculous. Anyways, I am finally off to bed...Maybe tomorrow the board will be abit busier.
I am feeling so yucky today. I woke up with no voice, but my wonderful father still expected me to talk him through learning how to use Vista on his new computer. I guess the one he had was crappy so they replaced it with one about ten times better. Then we went and got groceries, came home ate, and vegged out watching Christmas stuff. Bethany decided today that she loves Rugrats lol.
