Snowy Sunday

We woke up here to quite a bit of the white stuff everywhere, but now the temperature is rising so we're in for a heavy mess when the rain comes later on. We're heading across town to a family gathering in a couple of hours. Here's hoping those snow ploughs make it out on time to clear the main roads for everyone.

What's up today? Did anyone else get the winter storm that blew across the continent yesterday?

Any good spoilers for any of the soaps?

If by winter storm you mean snow packed up to Jackson's waist in the backyard, then yes, we got it, LOL. We had to do a bit of shoveling to make way for the vehicles in the driveway. And I don't think it's melting today. We're supposed to get down to -5. Brrrrr!

Jess, are you feeling better today?

Tina, ya'll must love Turkey to eat it so close to Thanksgiving! I love it for about a week, and then I'm over it. I hope it turns out yummy!

I think today is another day of drinking cocoa and board games. I'm pretty sick of Candyland and Chutes and Ladders though. I really wish I had an adult game to play to challenge me a bit. I will probably watch a lot of football too.
I had to make a quick run to the store this morning because I awoke to dandelion colored crayon marks all over the walls. JACKSON! I guess he did it when I *thought* he was sleeping last night. Little booger.

well we havent gotten snow yet. The weather thing on my desktop says its snowing but its not, though I backed the car in just in case it does. I actually hope it does so that my music class gets cancelled tomorrow. I just got back from taking Jolene to chuck e cheese. Its such an easy way for her to get out energy and you dont actually have to buy pizza. So thats nice. Anyways, I am off to persuade her to take a nap with me. It may not be snowing but it looks like its gonna and the cloudy/gloominess is making me sleepy.

I hope that everyone is having a great Sunday

No snow here either. We got some ice yesterday. Thank God it was nothing like last year. I don't think I could've handled another 3 days of no power. However, we are in a better part of town now, so if it were a repeat we'd probably get our power back over night. Apparently everyone on this side of town was 2 priority (1st was the part of town with the hospital) because we have 2 schools on our power grid. Yay lol. I am feeling a bit better thank you Jojo. I had some green tea and a hot bath. You know there's something about a nice warm bath that does wonders. I also skipped church and slept in. I figure none of the parents would want someone with a scrathcy throat and sick as a dog around their kids lol

I did get a burst of energy later in the day and dressed the kids up and took a few pics. I'll have to post them in the pics part of the board. They're on my myspace as well. I printed them and I love them. They are actually better than I think I would have gotten at a store because they were all so comfy. Heck Aiden was down to a diaper and santa hat while the others were getting pics taken lol.

I'm not that crazy about turkey, but we didn't take leftoevers from Grandma's house so I didn't get sick of it.

My husband gets free turkeys at work, so we have two to make! And we do Ham at xmas time.

I'm thinking of doing something different and neat for Christmas. I have considered getting a few of the lobster tails from Meijer and some shrimp. It'll just be for the 5 of us (and Aiden and Beth well... you know they don't eat much). We all love sea food in our house. So I'm considering something like that. Eh who knows.

if I dont get to see my husband for Christmas then I am definitely doing seafood. I will be traveling down to Virginia and they have some really good crab places along the shore.

Jess I saw the pics on myspace they are adorable...

Well, since you didn't get stuck with leftover, I guess Turkey again's not so bad!

Jess, glad you're feeling better!! And those pictures were adorable! Well, what I saw. I got on after uploading some new pics I took, and then myspace crashed, and I had to get off. I'll try again later.

If my local grocery store will put the whole tenderloin on sale again, we'll be having that. They usually do, but I begin to get a little paranoid when the days start ticking down, and I haven't seen the sale price slapped onto that hunk of meat heaven yet!

Shelly, there's nothing better than Maryland crab!
