not sleeping well

for the past two weeks actually. i think it's the $245/mo deficit we're currently facing. medication costs & transportation costs are killing us & making me ill ......literally.

on a more positive note i got my dialysis time changed from 10:30a to 6:15a which gets me home at 11a instead of 4 or 5 in the afternoon. it was eating my whole day the other way. this way i can come home, take a nap & have time to spend w/my kids.

let's see....i've already mixed a meatloaf for dinner & will be making a big mug of tea before they pick me up. i've gained a couple of pounds (never thought i'd live to see the day anyone would want me to gain weight lol) ~~~ they're really pushing about my massive weight loss.

i'd totally forgotten that we have a small gym on property. went over on monday & tried the treadmill. trying to do the 30 vigorous walk lol. it's much easier on the treadmill than on the grounds as it's an even surface. picked up a cheap pair of sneakers last night as my sandals were not conducive to *vigorous* walking HEE!

physically i'm feeling much better.......thank heavens.

I'm so glad to hear that you're starting to feel better. It sounds like you have pretty good faith. With God all things are possible. Our niece Brit, has an inoperable tumor in the back of her head that was supposed to have been fatal and according to initial doctoral reports she should not be here. Thank God that miracles happen, because she's still alive. She goes through a lot when she undergoes chemo, but she gets to go to Wales next month. It's so great for her.

Oh another little miracle (more of a big miracle) was when my step-brother, Josh, nearly died from Malaria that he contracted while he was doing missions in Africa. He is in the books (literally) at the CDC for having been infected with the worst ever count of Malaria and surviving. The previous man had a .3 infection and died after 2 hours (I know I'm being morbid now oops), but Josh had 8 no .8 just plain 8 .. bad ... very bad. He was in a coma for days and doctors told us that he was gone. No one is supposed to survive a temp of 109 and survive. If he did wake up he would be a vegetable. Well, God is so good, because he woke up. First thing out of his mouth was .. I'm hungry. He was fine. He even went back to Africa last year and when he came back last month, he announced his engagement to a beautiful girl name Areta. I hope that kinda give you a lil pick-me-up. Oh and on top of everything, he had no insurance when he got sick. Well, because of his literally miraculous recovery, and his willingness to kind of be on show for their med students and a few folks from the CDC, they wiped his bill completely out (and it was such a big big bill).

Anyways I have to buy an mp3 player now so I should pay more attention before I get the wrong thing and spend all my money on one gift lol.

wow Kris, you're really having a tough time, we'll all have to say a big group prayer for you!

I haven't been sleeping well either!

Hope things turn around for 2008 with God's help.

Kris I am happy to hear that things are starting to look up for you. I hope it continues. I agree with Jessica, with God all things are possible. We will pray for you, in fact our board prayer thread really should be updated...I will get on that

Kris, I'm so terribly sorry that you've been going through such a difficult time. However, it sounds like you've turned several corners here, and I'm betting that you're going to turn some others!

That meatloaf sounds like a good idea; we have freezing rain here today, on top of the iced-over snow, so I may just fly on down there, and join you for dinner!

Kris, thanks so much for checking in. I've been thinking about you and the trials you have right now. So glad that things are looking a bit better and that your days will be better spent with the kids. How you manage to get up so darn early all the time is a miracle in itself!

Are you still watching your soaps? What's your reaction to the never-ending Tommy/Marcie story?

thanks, guys.

well i won't be the one cooking on dialysis days anytime again soon. i was wiped again last night. did manage to get dinner done tho......was nice eating w/the kids ~~~ been a few weeks since we've been able to do that grrrrr.

i'm told by others on dialysis that insomnia is common. there is so much about the process i just don't understand yet.....like how they determine how much fluid to draw off, how much is too much & how do you know when they are taking too much. will be meeting w/the nurse practitioner on monday & will have my list of ??s ready lol.

thanks for all the prayers & good wishes. it really helps.

yes, still watching my soaps. i dvr on dialysis days & watch after my nap or on the weekends. as for tommy/todd/marcie SL i just want it resolved. since todd is so self reflective after martie's death i'm thinking he should decide that tommy staying w/marcie/michael. tommy certainly doesn't need yet another disruption. then simply b/c todd requests it all charges against michael & marcie could be dropped ~~~ like in any good soap lol. i've always maintained it would not be in tommy's best interest to be given to todd.

yum, yum, yum, meatloaf leftovers tonight!

kris

Oh, I love that idea, kris. What a good story that could be. But could they really pull it off, what with Todd being such a toad most of the time? To have him truly have that kind of change of heart? I dunno.

But I do like the nuMichael. I still feel sad about NM, but this new fella has the kind of face that seems to work better with my picture of M&M. NM was such a hunk, I never really "got" him with Marcie. NuGuy, I do. Good recast for a change.
