Shelly, you've got your guy coming home, right? Jess, how's that eye doing? Did it turn into a shiner? Tina, where are you? Jojo, Moore, Bran (who we seldom see over the weekend), Herbst and DQ? How's it going?
We've got the Christening thing tomorrow, so it's hair and nails today, groceries, dry cleaners, other mundane errands. Nothing exciting, I hope. I'll need all my energy for the in-laws coming to town. They're really different from my little tribe here, to say the least. Turns out all of them are coming except the one brother who is in Denver at school.
Hilarious article in the paper this morning put out as a warning to Australians and Brits travelling to Canada. I'll see if I can find it online and link it. We all had a good chuckle over that.
thanks for posting the article Kae, very amusing. Wish it had mentioned what country didn't have any of those things.
Vinnie should be home but I guess he is now not going to be able to leave GA until tomorrow so that means he wont be home til Monday or Tuesday depending on when they leave tomorrow.
Today I think I may take a trip out to the outlet mall to get a pair of tennis shoes. And I need to log onto one of my classes.
Sorry to hear the hubby's delayed, Shel.I hope he gets home soon!
Kae, good luck at the Christening, and with the in-laws.
It's bright and sunny here, and it's warmed up, so the snow and ice are melting a bit. I'm about to head to the grocery store and to rent a carpet cleaner. I really can't take the carpets anymore. Hopefully I can find a few more odds and ends for the apartment-baskets, pictures, etc.
I also had a performance evaluation yesterday at work, and it was great. It's so wonderful to have feedback from bosses. And I'm doing a really good job. I only started in September, and they finagled an $1800-per year raise for me.
Good job on the performance thing Jojo. Sounds like job wise you are really enjoying your move. I hope you were able to get your carpets cleaned.
And I am not terribly worried about Vinnie being delayed, at this point I am pretty use to it. I hope you guys are having a great Saturday. We went to the outlet mall about 35 miles south of here to get shoes. I am a sketchers fanatic and was able to buy 2 pairs of sneakers for me plus a pair of boots for Jolene for 90 bucks. Pretty good if you ask me. I have needed new shoes for a long time, and now I can throw out my old pair.
I got most of the carpets cleaned. I will tackle my bedroom in the morning. While the carpet is cleaned in the living room and Jackson's room, there's still paint splatter. Oh well, I'll just buy some area rugs and deal. It's better than living with my sister in law!
