Cold and Cloudy Sunday

Whoever posted the cold and cloudy yesterday sent it our way. Its not too cold but it is cloudy and we had a bit of snow earlier.

Where is everyone today? I know Kae had the christening thing today and I hope that she is having a great time and is getting tons of pictures of those gorgeous kids in the cute clothes.

We had a pot luck at church today and our minister's wife is suppose to come over to work on invitations with me for our ladies luncheon next week. Fun fun, though its good because it made me work overtime to finish cleaning the house, it wasnt bad but it wasn't minister's wife clean either.

Now I am listening to Little Einsteins for the third time today and wishing I could take a nap. Cloudiness is making me sleepy. Vinnie should be home tomorrow. I haven't heard from him all day but I am assuming thats because he is driving and he knew when he was leaving I was at church. So what is up with everyone. I may go hunt up a survey see if we can get a discussion going on in here

Hi Shelly!

I finished cleaning the carpet this morning, and then went out and bought a new Wii game for Jackson. We've just been lounging, but I've to clean the kitchen. It's driving me batty! And I'm still waiting for the carpet in my room to dry so I can put everything back in there.

I'll bet the christening was wonderful! Hope Kae had a good time!

We're back home now. I posted just a couple of pics, took lots more and will add some later. There were 7 kids under 6 at the party afterwards and my head is ringing. It's more work looking after my mom than it is taking care of children. She wandered off in church after the baptism and we couldn't find her there for a while. Big church.

Anyway, it's still cloudy and cold here too, Shelly. Sorry if I sent it down to you there in Connecticut, lol.

I'm really tired from the strain of being pleasant. Not that I would have been unpleasant, but you know what I mean, non? Two people behind us in church today were unbelievably rude. They were looking at pictures on the guy's phone and didn't turn off the beeps. Then, he took 2 phone calls and discussed with his wife the content of the calls in a regular un-hushed voice! I wanted to turn around and give them a whithering look but that would have created even more disturbance than they had already made. Who raises these oafs?

I cant believe people are so rude. I've been sick for the past few days. I'm throughly upset with the husband right now. He says he has what everyone else in the family got, but his "illness" is lasting an extra day possibly two more he says. He's just being a lazy oaf, and I'm pissed. So instead of allowing me to get some rest I've had to wait on his lazy butt hand and foot. Of course my dad who he is now acting just like, says taht I should just baby him even longer.

I swear one day I'm going to lace all men's drinks with chemical castration stuff.

Childhood friend's mother died two years ago.

Friend's father had the beginnings of dementia, and everyone knew it.

Friend's father and mother had been married for ... well, for forever, so father was taking it very hard while also very confused.

Mother's funeral held in the family's large Baptist church, with lifelong family friends, business friends, and church friends in attendance.

Deceased mother was a woman much deserving of honor, and respect.

Grieving father was equally deserving of similar respect, and understanding.

Cell phone rings in the middle of the service.

Idiot woman, seated in the center of the congregation, takes the call and proceeds to talk...

you know sometimes I leave my ringer on on accident and if it goes off I scramble to push any button that will stop the noise. It never gets answered.
