My husband's already glued to the TV downstairs. He's a big Patriots fan. I sort of wish I shared his enthusiasm, but old dog, new tricks and all, lol. Go Patriots, though!
Jojo - if Ted saw that 7 layer dip, he'd have the whole thing inhaled in 10 minutes. He LOVES it!
obviously I am saying Go Patriots. We all know I love them and if they manage to win how awesome would it be for them to have been undefeated all season and win the superbwl...So YAH...My jersey is being ironed in the dryer..haha
Who's that hunky quarterback (Patriot) that left his preggers wife for that stick model Giselle something? He'd make the game worth watching, but I hate what he did to his wife, the skunk. Cute skunk, though.
well i all fairness Brady and whatever that woman's name is were not married and I believe they had split up just before she found out she was pregnant. And yeah, Tom Brady is the reason I am watching...I would love to see him get another ring.
I probably won't watch, maybe a couple of commercials. I'm just so glad I got my husband out of the house. He's so annoying when he drinks and watches football! I hope he stays the night at his friend's house. Although he's pretty annoying when he's hung over too. Guess I get stuck with that tomorrow. Blech!
Well, it didn't turn out the way my dad and husband had hoped it would. At one point, Ted came galloping upstairs to get a drink, all excited and yelling yippee, fifteen minutes later, it was boo hoo, his team lost. He was really sad! You guys too, huh, Shel and Jojo? Mike just sort of stalked off right afterwards, saying nothing.
My mom and I sat upstairs and watched the half time show - it was okay. Loved Jordan Sparks' rendition of the national anthem, and those jets flying overhead were kind of spine-tingly, non?
I took a couple of pics last night of the MESS in my kitchen because of those meatballs. Shall post them for you so you can have a little snort and chuckle. It will not inspire you to try the recipe, trust me, lol.
Yeah I was not happy with the Patriots last night. And it hurts to say but the Giants did deserve to win. Their defense was awesome. Poor Brady got pummeled at every turn. I am not too worried about it though, Brady already has 3 rings, Eli now only has one. And now that the Manning boys both have a ring maybe they can stay out of it for awhile. I was happy to see Peyton cheering for his brother. I was a little weary in the beginning because we didn't see much of him.
Anyone enjoy the commercials. There were a few that stuck out in my mind. And yes Jordin Sparks was great and it was great that she was singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in her hometown. And yes, loved the jets. My brother said that the blue angels were practicing for awhile....Must have been loud.
I was at a party where at least 2 people had never heard of Tom Petty. How horrible is that
My post didn't appear. Screwy sumpthin'. Anyway, I said that the paper this morning printed that a 30 second commercial for Super Bowl, average cost, $2.7 million! Yikes!
Yeah, Kae...I was bummed after the game. But normally, I don't like the Patriots. However, every Dallas Cowboys bone in my body hates the Giants with a passion, so I was cheering hard for the Patriots to win. Now, I'm just irritated the Giants won. BLECH. And on the other board I go to, it's overrun with Giants nutsos, and I can't take it.
I thought Jordin was great, and I also love the annual Dec of Ind reading before the big game.
I thought the commercials were hum-ho. There were a few good ones, but the rest were just, well, they sucked.
