Poor DOOL! Viewers will have to fasten their seat belts and get those vomit bags ready. Higley all but ruined OLTL for me. I can only imagine how the Days fans will react. Poor Days.

Yeah I kind of think that maybe they are trying to make Days unwatchable (which by the way the show has been great for awhile) so that when NBC doesn't renew the contract in 09 it wont make a difference.

Are you serious? They fired the ENTIRE writing staff, and then hired Higley? Holy crap. I've never seen anything so insanely stupid in my life.

yeah, they got rid of Sheffer in favor of Higley. I think they are just trying to make it so that when the show is canceled on 09 no one will care anymore.

From SOC:

During the strike, NBC's Days of our Lives fired its entire writing staff. In total, nine members were sent packing. Now, however, with the strike over, the show is reportedly re-hiring all of the unemployed scribes. According to a post on blog site Deadline Hollywood, a daytime source reported that "the staff of Days of Our Lives, who had all been fired last week, were getting their jobs back. And that a striking writer, if fired, had to be replaced by a striking writer. Not a scab, and not a fi-core member."
