another week is gone

I can't believe that its friday again. Just got done from a semi long day at work. We had the most amount of guests today then we have the entire time I have been at the hotel. Tomorrow night we are sold out. The weather here is fabulous and its a good time for people to be in Mystic.

Okay, so I saw a bulletin that a friend of mine posted on myspace about a kid I went to high school with. I hung out with him a bit in like the 10th grade, if you read it...try to read it like its a story on Law & Order it makes it a little easy to take. Apparently this kid that I went to school with killed his daughter about 2 years ago and was convicted today or yesterday.

Toy-Box Killing

I heard about it this morning and I can't seem to get this horrible image out of my head, sorry guys for putting it in yours.

That's just awful about the little girl. I hope he gets what is comoing to him. You know I know this sounds bad, but I hope they make sure to tell the other inmates what he is in for.

the story has me confused, what was the cause of death?

That man should have never been a father. I don't know how some people can be that cruel.

she suffocated.

And yeah, the guy who posted the bulletin said he hopes that the guy gets his while he is in jail. Its still hard for me to get the image out of my head...

I'm sure it is very hard to get that image out of your head. When I took my forensics class I got good at detaching myself from things like that. I've been told that I would have made a good forensic pathologist because I could do that, but I don't think I could handle it in the real world if I had seen a child like that.

I detach myself pretty well, like when I watch L&O I am pretty good. I guess its a little different when you know the person. He use to hit on me a lot in high school, gotta tell you I am glad I never went that way

Very sad story, Shelly.

I'm glad the week is over. It was not a good one here at all. Between the huge snow storm Tuesday, babysitting on Monday and Wednesday and dealing with developmental problems (we talked about that), the carbon monoxide detector going off all day Thursday (had to turn off furnace, lights, computer, telephones until the inspector arrived at 6) and husband badly needing a dose of that remedy, I've about had it. Anyway, it was just the darn detector that was faulty. I didn't know this, but they must be replaced every 48 months. Mine was almost 7 years old.

So happier Saturday, everyone. Hope your week wasn't as shi**y as mine. Better days ahead? I hope so, notwithstanding the next Alberta Clipper due to hit here tomorrow afternoon. As if we need any more of that white stuff. Argh.

Yeah I desperately need another round of the white stuff or my daughter's gong to kill me for not making a snowman with her.

I'd happily send some down to both of you. But this snow is too fluffy for snowmen - too cold for it to hold any water, and we need sticky snow to build something.

It's just been an interminable winter here - broken records for snowfall, AND yesterday it was announced that the normal number of sunshine hours for February is 123 and this year we've only had 20. Everything is so grey and depressing.

Ewww no sunshine is the perfect harbinger for depression. I'd say go tanning but IMO it's not that healthy ... then again ... depression vs 10 min in a tanning bed .. eh I don't know. For me I'd take the tanning bed but that's only because I never really get out in the sun much nor do I tan I figure it wouldn't hurt me too badly.

Argh, it's been a crappy week here.
I'm really sick of the snow, and I'm having to deal with the sis in law. She was really nice when I went to pick up some random mail that somehow didn't get forwarded to me, but it's very tense still, and it's obvious she hates me even having to go to her house.

I'm sorry you had such a rough week Kae. Sounds like you need a nice, relaxing remedy!

LOL, no remedy is going to get me outta this funk like a good big glass of wine in an hour's time. I'm looking forward!
