Cold here too at -9C, but at least the sun is out for a change.
Mike's in LA. He called and left a message that he's staying in Venice Beach and went surfing already. Tony's back from Atlanta. Nick is okay in Gold Coast, but still hasn't formulated his travel plans before heading down to Sydney to catch his flight back here. He'll be home in 50 days!!
I have to find a bathroom renovator - we decided to redo Nick's bathroom for him before he gets home. I think an all white, subway tiled, clean-lined bathroom, add colour with towels, simple framed mirror over the basin, floating shelves on the side wall. As the room is now, renovated by the previous owner, it's a nightmare to keep sanitary as the tiles are ridged and catch all that lovely stuff found in bathrooms. What were they thinking?
Its chilly here though not as chilly as where you guys are. I dropped Jojo off and now I need to sit down and write a paper. I had wanted to hit the gym today so that I can stay on the diet/exercise track but I have to finish this paper first. Its due by tonight at midnight.
So I am going to sit on the couch with the laptop and get it done. That way I can at least watch a little bit of the television. Just put Rachael Ray on and am not sure how much I love her hair cut.
kae I am so happy for you that Nick is coming home soon. 50 days seems so soon considering he has been gone for so long. And Tina I hope that on your busy day you can find a way to stay warm
Well, Kae the Edson Chen stuff has me captivated. I don't usually giv etwo hoots about these scandals, but this one includes someone going by an anime thing. I'm so curious now. Lol Kira like from Death Note ... I wonder does Lainey know about the Death Not connection
This scandal is epic. Seriously, and it has my interst because the person posting the pics goes by the nick name Kira which is the main character of one of my favorite animes.
It was 74 degrees here yesterday, and it's 42 degrees today! The sun is bright, but there's a possibility of a little snow tomorrow, and a strong possibility of a lot of snow by Friday.
Last week, I had to cancel our doll club meeting because of ice, and had rescheduled it for tomorrow. If this one gets snowed/iced out too, I'm just going to forget February!
My husband is going out of town for nearly a week; will spend a few days in Arizona with our daughter, and then continue to LA where he's going to be doing some research. He'll be there in time for the Academy Awards, but his best contact for tickets couldn't help him, so late in the game. RATS!
Anyway, it's going to be a very quiet house, although my son isn't too far away. I hate it when my husband travels, which he rarely does anymore except when he and our daughter are moving her car from Virginia to Arizona (and vice versa), but he may be doing a lot more in the foreseeable future.
So, it looks as though I'll be enjoying the snow and a crackling fire all by myself this weekend...

I know it must suck when the hubbub isn't home. Luckily for me, right now we don't have the money for him to travel lol. I might be a bit buggered though because he wants to take an over night job and make some extra money. Apparently he thinks we need more and doesn't want me to have to work. It's kinda sweet. I personally am fine with what we have but he is being all macho and cute and saying that he wants us to have more .. kinda weird but nice. I think he wants to build on mainly lol. I think he's itching for a man cave in the basement lol.
Moore, I asked my son, who is also in LA, if he'd grab a spot in the bleachers to watch the red carpet on Sunday and he nearly laughed his head off at me! All I was asking for was a first hand account of who was wearing what. You'd have g thought I'd asked him to wash the cars in a snow storm from his reaction, as in "mom has finally lost her mind altogether now". *sigh*
KaeEll, I think that was a perfectly reasonable request! Men...
Jessica, it's a great idea for your husband to build himself a cave in the basement; everyone needs his or her own space. After he's finished building his, get him to build you a private space where you can retreat anytime you want!

Is it bad that I don't care. I know it's like a big thing, but I just coiuldn't get into it all this year. Really I'm not as into it most years either.
Sorry you'll be a little lonesome this weekend, Moore. But you'll at least have a nice, relaxing weekend all to yourself.
Jess, if you let the hubby have a man cave, you sure better have a girl cave! LOL.
I'm feeling rather ouchy at the moment. I've had a severe cramping pain in my lower stomach for a few days, and my co-workers are really wanting to take me to the hospital today...If It's not any better tomorrow, I'll go.
