Monday

Hey all, wow can you all believe that this is the last week of February. I am excited, had another weight watchers meeting this morning and I have lost another 3 pounds. I feel good because as long as I continue to lose weight then Vinnie won't complain about me spending the money on the weight watchers. Its not cheap but I feel like its worth it.

What are you all up too? Anything fun this past weekend? We have a sunny day today with the snow from Friday's storm still sitting on the ground. I have gotten my snow fix and now don't mind if we don't have anymore.

Whats going on, this place is SO quiet. Kae, I am watching Y&R, and can't help but hcickle at Jeffrey and Gloria

I'm supposed to go to Policy Council meeting for Bethany's pre school, but I'm not so sure I'm in the mood. Aiden didn't sleep well, and I can't seem to reach my mom and she'd be the one babysitting lol.

We had ballet, I'm tired now. Making some coffee. The neighbor is coming over for a playdate.

Might catch One Life, not sure

I feel drained.

Hoping to get a reading by a medium that I went to 4 years ago. It's kind of cool if you believe in that sort of thing.

good job Shelly! Do you use weight watchers online?

Way to go Shelly. I'm incredibly jealous. Cody's school just called, and apparently he has a very bad cavity. They gave him some tylenol and he's feeling better, but looks like someone gets a trip to the dentist a bit earlier than we had planned.

Just got back form lunch with my friend Janice - the shopping guru. She has such high energy that I'm a bit drained now too, lol. We went to a cute little French place, had the omelet du jour and a huge salad that I couldn't finish. Janice had the chicken Caesar, also too big to finish. Our bottle of Perrier was $9!! Good grief.

I'll pop on my recording of Y&R, will report if there's anything earth-shattering.

The weekend was productive in the shopping department. We found the perfect halogen lights at Home Depot but had to wait forever for a helper with one of those big orange ladder gadgets. That's the down-side of shopping there. But we replaced all those hideous 80's style pot lights with the new modern ones for under $100, whereas my friend Marilyn went to a fancy shmancy lighting store and paid close to $500 for the same thing. Go figure. The Ikea fixtures were okay-ish, but would have required a paint job on the ceiling.

And I found the barbecue of my dreams there too!! I'll wait until the snow melts - no point in buying it now. (Remember I told you that Ted blew up our old one? He finally told me what happened. He switched propane tanks without turning off the gas line. Not a good idea.)

What kind of barbeque, KaeEll?

I saw a review last year for a gas grill that was supposed to be very good for the price, and I'm trying to remember now what it was. (I'll search my archives!)

That was a wretched price to have to pay for the Perrier, but lunch sounds delicious...

My son called about an hour ago, and announced that he's out of food! LOL... He's coming by for dinner tonight, and I think that I'll feed the child a nice juicy steak. It will also be very nice to see him, and to have the company.

Moore, it's a stainless steel Weber with an extra wide surface to hold about 8 big steaks and a burner on the side for a pot or pan. And the lid handle is on the side instead of at the front, a feature that is so much better! Those darn handles mounted at the front of the lid get hot, not to mention having to raise the lid over the fire and heat, almost burning the cook's arm. And that would be me, lol. This time I'm going to have the gas company hard wire the barbecue into the gas line so no more fussing with propane tanks.

LOL about the juicy steak! That's the first thing I always do when Mikey comes for dinner - feed him something he'd never buy for himself on his piddling student stipend. Then I load him up with his favourite pastries. He loves coming here for dinner. ;)

Tina i only use the weight watchers online when I am sitting usually after dinner because they have a search function where you can put whatever food it is (like today I put in cucumber) and it automatically tells you how many points it is. Lots easier then going through the books. Plus they have a calculator where you can just imput the calories, fat and fiber and it calculates it out for you, much easier then using the slider thing. And it also calculates any exercise. Very handy.

And thanks guys for the encouragement. I feel like everyone loses when they first start and I don't look forward to when I stop losing. But this week I am going to try my damndest to get to the gym this week. And this week I wont have cake at our bible study like I did last week. I am currently having a big old salad with a piece of steak leftover from Saturday's dinner at Fridays. I found Hidden Valley fat free ranch and had hoped that it would taste better then the Kraft Free stuff but it really doesn't. Still tastes fat free. Oh well, its better then nothing I suppose

Kae that sounds like a nice BBQ. I can't wait for BBQ weather.
