More electrical problems at the magazine loft, but nothing was lost on Phyllis's work on the website. As she and Nick banter, Adam calls her - wants to come by and show her his ad mock-ups, says he'll show her his if she shows him hers. (groan)
Adam amuses Victor with his determination to succeed. Then he pisses off Victoria by telling her he'd already met with the ad guys over breakfast without informing her.
Heather tells Paul that her job is in serious jeopardy, that it's all she has, it's what defines her.
LOL, Jack and Sharon are horrified to see what Gloria has done to their living room - she turned it into a 70's psychedelic harem room. Very funny!! Even a lava lamp in ugly lime green.
(Hey Shelly, did you see that the actress who plays Maggie is leaving to pursue other offers? I don't know when she's leaving though.)
Victoria and Adam disagree about changing the name of B of N. She's adamantly against it, grabs his file and stomps off.
Paul tries to cheer up Heather, says maybe it's time to change horses, change directions in her life. She doesn't want that.
Jack and Sharon, at CL, plot and scheme to catch Gloria and Jeff violating the terms of their agreement with a new clock spy-cam.
Kevin, ever the faithful spy for his mother, sends Jana over to Jack and Sharon's table to try to catch bits of their conversation and get a look at what's in the box (the clock spy-cam). Funny scene! Then Gloria comes along.
Jack and Sharon arrive at the mag loft with good news - he's bringing Ashley and Eric Forester to GC, will convince him to join in the ads.
Kevin want to hire Paul to spy on Jeffery because they suspect he's being unfaithful to Gloria with some woman from Korea.
Victoria calls Adam out on his underhanded sneaking around trying to make his mark on the company, insulting her, etc. Just as they're about to get into it further, JT comes along with Reed in his arms to say hello to mommy. Adam walks out saying "baby comes first". (JT's not scoring any points with me here - he should never have barged into the middle of a business discussion with the baby. Bad JT!! Adam already building his case to out-rank Victoria because she's distracted by baby stuff and JT is inadvertently helping him along.)
Paul gives Heather good advice, tells her to put the mistakes she made behind her and move on. She stalks off, all indignant.
Victor nixes the name change for the same reasons did. Adam accepts it from Victor.
JT picks up on Adam's condescending remarks about the baby, suggests she put him in his place. She says she plans to.
Adam arrives at mag loft and says there will be a name change of the product but go with B of N for now. (Lying little sneakl!!) Nick invites Adam out for dinner that night along with Vicoria and JT, to celebrate their deal. Adam hesitates, then accepts.
I take back what I said yesterday about Phyllis flirting with Adam. She doesn't - he actually makes her uncomfortable and she searches the room with her eyes for Nick.
Eric Forester calls Victor about the buzz on Restless Style and Victor says he still doesn't believe it will ever see it's first issue, notwithstanding NE is taking ad space.
Hmm - awkward scene as Adam "sizes up" the Jack, Sharon, Phyllis and Nick relationships. That kid is really rubbing me the wrong way!
Gloria asks Jeff why he wants a divorce now and he tells her that he was hoping he'd grow on her, that she'd stop blinding herself to that spark they share. "This isn't fun any more." The papers are being drawn up, she signs them, he'll disappear.
Heather tells Paul that she's thinking about leaving GC for good.
JT sets Adam straight on Victoria, that she's stronger than Adam gives her credit for and warns him to step back before he blows it.
Jeff calls his lawyer about the papers, learns they are ready for delivery, were drawn up exactly as he ordered, and breaks out in gleeful laughter. Gloria overhears and looks really upset!
Adam apologises to Victoria for being an overbearing ass. She cautiously accepts.
Hilarious scene as Sharon and Jack taunt Gloria and Jeffery about the decor, all caught on tape.
Next: As Victor and Sabrina arrive at GCAC for dinner, they see the table of Adam, Nick, Victoria et al having dinner. He says he just lost his appetite.
Heather whines to Daniel that if she had just one piece of evidence in the Ji Min case, just one... Daniel nods.
Adam to Phyllis - "You wanted them to like you. I don't really care."
Ugh, I don't like Adam either. And I will miss Maggie but only because we see Paul more with her. Other then that she doesn't add much to the show. Ugh, I wonder what the majority of fans think of the character of Adam
I don't know what others are thinking about Adam, but to me he's completely untrustworthy. He comes off as a smart ass punk with an inflated opinion of himself and his abilities.
To me, it's been written by people who have no idea what a kid fresh out of an Ivy league School is all about. Usually, those young people are grateful for any opportunity to learn, not come off as the know-it-all brat. By the time they've got an MBA, they already know they know next to nothing, lol. It's like the more you learn, the more you know how little you do know. So that aspect of Adam bothers me. If they'd written that he graduated from a lesser school, I'd buy it more easily, but having had experience with these people in real life, it rings about as true as that Vincent guy on OLTL who went to a good college and still spoke street slang. It doesn't happen. And if it's supposed to show the character flaw in Adam as an obnoxious up-start, then how do they explain him being sainted Hope's kid raised by the milk-fed farm guy, Cliff? Victor genes? Nah.
Anyway, Adam is there to shake things up, so if he were a good guy, not much story, huh? I wish writers would be more careful in character studies. I expect more from the Y&R.
