Ugh. At 3:56 a.m. our phone rang, our son, Tony. He said he got a really disturbing phone call from Nana (my mother) with her screaming OMG, OMG in the background. I told him to go back to bed, a thousand apologies, that we'd take care of it. My parents' phone was off the hook, so all of our efforts to call them went directly into voice mail. No alternative but to get dressed and drive over, which we did. And not only were they absolutely FINE, neither admitted to us what actually had happened. We assume that somehow the phone was knocked off the hook and the speed dial button to our son's house had been pushed inadvertently. My mother was probably having a bad dream, but she remembers nothing.
Old people. Gah.
On our way home , and this is all in the middle of the biggest snow storm up here all winter, we stopped for a Saturday paper, had a cup of coffee. At 7, I was so messed up I took a Tylenol and went back to bed for 3 hours. Thank goodness I could sleep.
What's up for you guys today? We're shovelling.
Shelly, I'll post that Lainey link for you. Lainey lurv (for blind item discussions) is linked on my Face Book account.
Lainey Gossip If you click on her "Wrong Girl" blue header, it will take you to the blind item Jess and I were talking about.
Jess, I doubt that it's Avril. Lainey can't stand her and probably would have no trouble naming names there. Shania is too down to earth for that nonsense, at least I hope so - love her.
It's my youngest daughter's 20th birthday today, and it's so hard to believe. She's not at her apartment right now, and she's supposed to be getting a package, and some flowers, so I guess that they'll have to wait for her in the front office. DRAT!
I was supposed to go visit my lifelong friend this afternoon (we've known each other since we were 3-1/2 years old), but it was postponed until tomorrow. Her first grandchild (19 months old) is visiting from New Mexico until Monday, and I missed seeing her the last time they visited. (I'm taking her a simple little doll I made.)
It rained all yesterday, and just poured again about a half an hour ago, but the sun looks like it's trying to come out, without success so far.
My oldest daughter (the one in North Carolina) called to say that she had finally made my salmon recipe last night, with great success. This morning, they're without power because of wind. Since there's not much to do at home, she's going to go catch up with her boyfriend (who works today at a museum), and then catch up with some office friends later. Loren (the boyfriend) was a drama major, and has hooked up with a community theater group down there in Raleigh. They were celebrating last night because he was just cast in one of the starring roles (Axel Magee) in "Don't Drink the Water" (by Woody Allen) that will be performed later this spring. He's actually been doing very well with his acting, and just recently co-directed "Othello" with another theater group. We're all rather proud of him because it can't be easy to find work as an actor!
I've only had my morning coffee, and nothing else yet today, so I think I'll go grab a snack. I see the sun is trying again too...!!!

Kae and Jess I wonder if its either of the Lohans. Possibility I guess. Anyways, today has been gloomy all day so needless to say we haven't done anything. Well and Vinnie is feeling slugglish. I have yet another sinus infection and hate that I haven't made it to the pharmacy yet. Ugh.
Anyways, I hope you all are having a better weekend
I'm almost convincedc now that it is Ashlee Simpson. I think the first one was Janet Jackson though in fact we had a bit of a confirmation ont hat one.
