This is a statutory holiday up here, and if I remember correctly it isn't one in the USA. Everything is sealed up tight as a drum here today, just like on December 25.
My d-i-l and the kids are coming for lunch around noon but Tony's in meetings all day with work. His main clients are from the US, so he doesn't have the luxury of taking the day off. Then it's Sunday chores to do since on that day we'll be having the family dinner and not much else time for any of the regular things, like changing bed linens.
Shelly, Y&R will air today. I'll catch my recording later on and report if there's anything fun happening.
What's up today? Sun's out here, birds are chirping, but it's still freezing cold. Easter in March just ain't right!
Yup no holiday for us. The kids are home for "spring break" though. I'm goign to run and look at a house later today. We like where we are but just found out that we will most likely not get a loan for the amount the lady is asking. On top of that I'm not su sure I want to buy it after living here for as long as we've been here, and seeing all of the things that need fixing up. So we saw something in the paper and I thought I'd at least go look at it. I figure I'll know what I want when I see it. It'll either speak to me and I'll have to have it or wel, it won't lol. It's goign to be a little more expensive but if I'm working it'll be well within our range, and certainly worth it.
I WISH it was a holiday for us. But alas, here I am at work! Woot! It's nice and sunny here, but it's supposed to snow on the easter egg hunt tomorrow.
I'm currently working on a letter to the editor to speak out against Wyoming's law that if a registered offender moves into the community, that only neighbors within 750 ft be notified. I just found out yesterday we had one move into our complex, and apparently, I'm farther than 750 feet, but still in the same complex! This is all very scary. Jackson is a very trusting little boy, and this man living in our complex doesn't sit with me well.
I had to work, but then I work at a hotel. We are always open. Ive been told that some banks here were closed. And a lot of kids had yesterday and today off. I have no clue. I don't celebrate good friday and its good because the poor girl at work couldn't eat any meat and that stinks.
Anyways, had a long day at work and had to come home to clean because I have some friends from church with kids coming over to dye some eggs. Jolene is being such a monster today. Ugh.
Well, we ended up going to my mom's for our traditional egg coloring. I was so happy because almost everyone in our family showed up. My Aunt Debbie, cousin Allison and her girl Lily. Debbie was even able to get Rhiannon for the day from her mom. My cousin Andrea skipped school that day and come to help out (lucky little wench found out that Wal Mart got a shipment of Wiis in the day before and didn't even tell me !!!!!!!!! so mad I want one so bad). The kids were so messy and Allison even brought her scissors and gave my mom and Aiden hair cuts. It's nice too because normally almost no one in our family could afford going to her salon, and my mom needed a hair intervention so badly. Aiden looked so good wiht his little do. Floyd gave him a little mini mohawk that morning and when she was done with his hair she kept wiht the cute do and gave him the same style that her hubby has and spiked his hair back up in the middle and swept the sides forward. Oh I loved it. I still have his little curl that got cut off too.
