Thank goodness its Friday

Hey all, I will not likely be by the computer again until late tonight. So unless I catch Brandon or Jess on the messenger on my phone I will be gone all day. Just wanted to drop in and say hello.
Kae, what is the the count down down to now? Moore, how is your husband feeling? Did they give him good medicine to make it not itch?

What is everyone up to today. After today I will only have 24 hours left of the needed hours for school. And the hotel should start paying me soon. Which is good because I need a new car

I have a busy weekend, and I'm not looking forward to it. Alot of driving here and there.

We're meeting friends tomorrow night for dinner, and they always pick restaurants near their house which is a long drive for us. So now I've got an attitude! (price of gas)

This will be the last time for that.

Although We're meeting at a Japanese Steakhouse, and I love those places

So Kae how long is your contractor telling you the job will take start to finish? If he puts in 8 hours a day, he could probably finish in a week.

Hi guys! Fifteen days till Nick is home! He's supposed to leave Sydney on April 11. I had an e mail from him this morning, from an outback town called Broken Hill. He and Laura are leaving tomorrow to make the 5 hour drive to Adelaide.

The contractor called last night and will not be here today. I let Ted talk to him so I wouldn't be calling him all sorts of names. I don't know when he's starting, but I can guarantee it won't be ready for Nick. As it turns out, Mike is still here, camped out on the sofa-bed in front of the fireplace AND in Nick's room, so maybe it's all for the best at the moment. Mike's virus is stubborn.

I promised Mike some French Toast, so I'll go make that now for him. At least he's eating. Then at 11 I pick up my mother for her spa/hair routine, then home again to watch my Y&R recording.

Shelly, YAY for a paycheque!!!

Hey, KaeEll. How did the hair appointment go yesterday? Are you looking glamorous?

I know that you're very excited about Nick's return, as an adoring mom, and I'm so sorry that your project isn't going to be completed in time. That just sucks, and all I can say is that it's probably a good thing that you let Ted handle the contractor's absence. On the other hand, I'll bet that you and I together could do a darned good job of ripping that guy "a new one"...

Two days ago, I had a "come to God" conversation with our MIA handyman, and the guy (nearly 40) not only burst into tears on the phone, but BEGGED me for another chance. I told him that he has until April 15th to arrive with 1/4 of what he owes us, in cash, and at that point I will CONSIDER allowing him the opportunity to work more of it off. I explained that our having given him that opportunity in the first place was a COURTESY to him as we realized that cash flow was a problem. I told him that he has put us last every single time, even though we put him first in his time of need, and he now has to prove his sincerity and commitment to us with a good-faith payment.

Mama gets tough when she's pissed!

Please tell Mike that your internet buddies wish him well, and hope that this nasty mutant virus will make its exit very soon.

(Apparently, I can't type OR spell this morning!)

LOL, Moore. My hair appointments for maintenance are becoming a household joke around here. The last few months I've had to go for colour touch-ups every four weeks. I used to able to last for 6 with roots peeking through. I'm betting you'll know why I can't do that any more. Light brown roots with blonde are okay. It's not light brown so much any more. Between my nomadic kids, my dotty parents, the damn contractor, I'm lucky I still have hair, period.

I've got a 2 hour window before running off to the store for chocolate pudding cups for Mike (is he regressing into his childhood with this virus???), then pick up Ted from the station. I'll run my recording of Y&R, report the good stuff, if any.

Thanks for the good thoughts for my sicko kid. He's stopped throwing up! Yay!

Yes, Mike is regressing, and he's entitled to do so! It's part of what's expected when you're at mom's house, and you're sick... Anyway, chocolate pudding cups are good for anyone, sick or not.

I understand about the hair. Yes, I do... And on top of that, MINE grows like a freaking weed that's had massive amounts of fertilizer poured on it, so it can become fairly scary fairly quickly! However, I would probably jump off of a high bridge before I'd have it done every four weeks (mine is highlighted, not done all over...) because I have come to LOATHE the ordeal, in my old age. There was a time when I considered it pampering, but now it just makes me want to climb the walls.

The upside is that I don't fret over haircut lengths because I know that my hair will have gained two inches by the time I've stepped out of the next day's shower! (Okay, that was a slight exaggeration, but not by much...) Hair stylists just love it when I say, "cut it whichever way you think that it would look best."

By the way, KaeEll -- my youngest daughter surprised us with two beautiful framed photographs that she just had taken at Glamour Shots (arrived by FedEx from Arizona a few hours ago), and I extracted her permission to post them online. As soon as I'm able to scan them, I'll do what I can to alleviate your fears that there's some scary genetic stuff going on here! I'm not sure what I can find to represent my camera-shy son, but I think that I have some appropriate pictures of my first-born daughter.

Oh, goodie!! I'm looking forward to the pics from Moore.

Lucky for me, I love having my hair done. They treat me very well as a rule there, and since the owner is the lady that begged me to take Champ (that little dog of mine) when her partner left her pregnant and she couldn't cope with a puppy and a baby, she feels like she kind of owes me, and that we're almost family. (I tried renaming Champ when I brought him home. I called him Chester for a month {as in Chester Field} but he wouldn't respond, so Champ was it. I've never liked that name, but oh well.)

Time to head out and shop. Mike added Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough to the list and smoothie fixings. Then off to Tony's to pick up some movies for Mike (who is becoming a little demanding, lol so he must be feeling better) then to the station for Ted, then home to cook for these guys. There had better be some wine downstairs in the fridge for me later! If Ted would just move the new toilet in the box from in front of the fridge door, I could check myself. Second thought, I'll buy some just in case.
