Well, here we are at the midpoint for the work week. I am very happy to report that I officially start my vacation today. I have to log on the system for a few hours this morning, and then I am away from the office until next Wednesday. I am bringing my laptop with me on vacation. I have a technical specification to write, but that is very easy compared to my normal 60+ hour work week.
I leave for Ireland this evening, and this time tomorrow, I will be in County Tipperary, taking a nap, trying to get over my jet lag. I am very excited! I have to go pack.... I'm of the mentality that if I don't remember to pack something related to attire, then I'll just have to buy something for an occasion.
Shelly, they are forecasting 70 degrees here in my section of New England tomorrow. My perenials are beginning to poke out of the ground, and my lawn is at the 50% mark for going green. I bet that when I come home, it will be a green world.
I hope that everyone has a great day, and week! Think spring!!!
Lucky You Sophia! have a wonderful trip and flight, get lots of R&R!
Will your job continue to be this stressful?
My kids are half day of school today and then off for Thursday, Friday. Wish we had planned something in advance.
And yet money goes so quickly. We just had the brakes done on Ed's car, and his mirrors fixed, bought a new grill, and boom the checking account is low...
Sophia I sure hope you have a wonderful time.I was going to ask you to send me a post card while you are there but I just want you to have a nice relaxing time...So please do..
And I hope that your 70 degree temps are sent down my way. I need to go get some stuff to put on my grass to make it green. I took today and tomorrow off so I am going to take advantage and get some stuff done. I have a couple papers to write for school. I hope you all are having a good middle of the week.
Oh, Ireland in the spring! Wonderful!! Have a great holiday, Sophia.
It's pouring rain here, but no complaints as we don't need to shovel it. I'm waiting for the plumber again, then have to pick up Vanessa from school (again) and bring her back here. The no TV rule is still in place for her (bad for the brain, she is told, lol) so I'm not sure what we'll do this afternoon as she's not allowed to watch the plumber either (dust and dirt).
I'm exhausted. It's been a really trying couple of weeks. Nick will be home in 56 hours. Poor guy will be coming home to a right mess downstairs, my worst fear for him with this blasted reno project.
Shelly, so glad your surgery is over and you're on the mend.
So we've wanted to get a Wii for awhile. So we looked and like everyone else we couldn't find one or we'd missed it by a day or a matter of hours. So then yesterday came:
So my wife managed to get a birthday gift from her dad (cash as always) and we had plans to get some various stuff. On the way home of finally getting Gerbil sand (don't ask, apparently the little Gerbtards want to use sand to bathe), we stopped by a Game Crazy (a game shop we don't normally visit) and we managed to miss out on getting a Wii by about 15-20 minutes. Some guy had bought the last one right as we walked in. So anyways, we went to go find her sewing serger. She managed to make a decent deal on sewing serger and so we had some monies left over.
Anyways, we drove home after getting some food and she remembered she wanted to get weights for working out. So I went and as I went through Target I glanced over at the Wii spot and noticed a box but it didn't seem much different then the DDR boxes they have Wii. So I went and grabbed the weights and then swung back and noticed that the box was in fact much shorter then the DDR box. So I poked my head around and asked if this was in fact a Wii. The man said, "Yes."
And I said, "I would like one please."
So nice Target man opened the case and brought over the Wii and Wii Play and I purchased them along with the wife's work out weights. Went home and we got it all setup and played some bowling on Wii Sports.
It's just amazing how things just come together. We didn't really cramp our budget to get it because the wife saved a ton on her sewing serger and we do have an extra paycheck and tax stimulus coming up. Just nice how things work out.
Oh yes and thank you to God, you're a nice God and we apperciate the Wii. Go God, because he's cool.
Now I have to figure out what games and accessories I need to get. LOL. That'll probably end up being more then the system by the time we're through.

Brandon I'm jealous and happy for you at the same time. I don't know what to recommend, but I'm definitely getting Bleach as soon as I get a Wii. My aunt has one right now I've actually considered getting the game now and then just taking it to her house and playing lol.
I want to get a Wii but we already have like 3 game systems that we never play. Though I think that if we got a wii Jolene could play it too.
Kae I am so sorry to hear how tired you are, and while Nick will be coming home to not the best circumstances I suspect he will be just thrilled to be home. I am happy that time is short enough that you are counting down the hours. I remember when I was on deployments with the Navy we would count down like that too.
Brandon, you were obviously destined to have that Wii! Look at the crazy, who'd have thought it, series of events that led up to finding it in the store!!
Brandon, God did clearly want you to have that Wii, so you must have been very good lately!
Our son has a roommate with a Wii, and our son has really enjoyed playing with it (Guitar Hero), but I don't think that he's quite ready to get his own yet. Not that he doesn't want one...!!!

You know I'm looking forward to seeing about this Wii Fit thing. It's supposed to help with balance and give a sembelance of a work out, seems intriguing.
And Tina no you won't see me less. I mostly do my posting at work so that won't really change.
You know it's an amazing system and I've heard that part of the reason they were so hard to find was because of production problems in the factory that supplied them outside of Japan (there's another dedicated factory just for Japanese production).
Yeah that Target got 33 and I got the 9th. So I felt pretty good about it and then immediately did the dialing of friends to say, HEY GO GET YOUR WII! LOL.
Now I can hear all the lame jokes when I say, "Man I'm tired, I just wanna go home and play on the Wii." You can see where immature humor comes into play...
Anyways enough about that, anyone here a good sewing expert?

I wouldn't call myself a sewing expert by any means, but I'll be happy to take a shot at any questions you have, Brandon. However, if it has anything to do with threading a serger, I'm afraid that I won't be much help! I still don't know how to thread mine... LOL!

Oh, Sophia, long time no see! I do hope you enjoy your much deserved trip to Ireland!!!
Brandon, welcome to the world of Wii. I haven't bought many accessories for mine. In fact, I've only purchased two games since getting the blasted thing at Christmas. I guess I just don't like spending $50 for a silly game!!! But, I will hopefully be getting a gift card from my work soon, so I'm looking to purchased the Smash Brothers game for it. I'd also like to get another controller, as well as the classic controller they make for certain games for it. Just be careful. While the fit thing is enticing, there have been cases of folks actually getting injured playing the Wii. I nearly killed myself when I played tennis on the thing nonstop one night!!
Kae, I do hope you can get some rest soon. I know how worried you are, with Nick coming home, the renovation project. I'll send some cyber relaxation fuzzies your way.
