Well, I'm not even watching that soap, but from what I hear, if John and Talia were in bed together and were caught by Antonio, and he blew up, and John is trying to catch that slimy commissioner, it could be part of the plot to bring him down. Otherwise, it makes no sense at all. Then again, this is OLTL.
I am pretty sure that it was a set up...Poor Antonio is just getting the brunt of it. Since he lost his Santi money he is really concerned with not losing his job.
I think that John, Talia, and Antonio have planned a sting operation against the new commissioner (who looks like he could be Trevor St. John's older brother).
It doesn't take much for Antonio to tap into his angry side, but I'm guessing that he's gaslighting his "new best friend", the commissioner.
