My youngest son, Nick, the kid who had just been away on the other side of the planet for an entire year, is leaving tomorrow morning with his older brother Tony (Mike, the middle son, was going too, but had to bail at the last minute because of school) for California for a few days skiing etc. And while he was brushing his teeth in MY bathroom earlier because he still has no vanity or sink in his bathroom (the reno one) he announced that he's going to spend May in Europe. This, he said, is his last fling before he gets a REAL job. And no school in September, yet.
Meanwhile, Mike is spending the better part of May in France, working. So when I suggested Nick might want to coordinate something with Mike, his eyes lit up. I have no idea what brought this on as all my kids have been to Europe several times, so it's not as if it's a "must see" before the real world takes over.
Anyway, my head is spinning with all this news of going here and there, all the changes. Nick, as it turns out, is grieving pretty hard for his lost relationship with the g/f he was away with. It wasn't a big shock, really, but it was a huge emotional investment, and it's all over.
So that's the news around here for the day. Tomorrow, Friday, is my crazy-busy day. And, as usual, we're supposed to get rain, lol.
