It's Monday.....

I find myself with a definite lack of motivation this morning.... My coffee has not kicked in yet, and I have not even begun to think about what I will be wearing. Ugh! Today should be a busy one in the office. We have a new employee starting today, who I am tasked with on-boarding. Double ugh!

The business analyst, who is on my project, who I classify as an ultra witch, is returning today after a weeks vacation. I have been fortunate enough to not have to deal with her for three weeks. I really can't stand her, she has one of those victim mentalities, and in addition is absolutely useless at her job. If something goes wrong, she usually looks for someone to point a finger at, me, and when things are going well, she takes all of the credit. There is not an ounce of team spirit in this witch. I find it all very draining, and I am really looking forward to being able to end my project with her. We are about 95% of the way towards getting the current project done, so it is just a matter of a few more weeks, hopefully.

Anyway, I hope that everyone has a great start of their week!

Sophia

Well Tess I hope that today is better then you hoped it would be. I have decided that when you prepare for the worst and anything less happens then thats good right. I also hope that you can still manage to pop in and visit us in the weeks to come. You truly are missed when your work takes you away from us for so long.

For instance my husband told me this weekend that he may end up doing the full 6 month deployment this summer. Yikes is an understatement. SO I have decided to just think of him being gone for the whole 6 months so if he comes home early I will be happy.

Drat there is that rotten squirrel again. The rain monster visited overnight and I suspect will be here thorughout the day and this poor squirrel is pretty wet. I suspect he stinks

So nothing new today, I have a girl friend interviewing at the same company that my sister works at today. Hopefully she gets it and ends up moving back to Virginia. That would be awesome.

I also have a girlfriend who had her ultra sound a few days back and they found some problems so she will be needing prayers I guess she is going in for tests next week.
Whats new with everyone else?

Sorry to hear your Monday is not so happy Tess and Shelly!

I have to clean the house, we were gone all weekend. And this morning is going to be crazy. Ryan has an ortho appointment and Gabi has ballet, at just about the same time. So I'm going to be running back and forth for a bit.

I also planned a play date, here! Crazy. I had forgotten the weekend away and ortho appointment. So I have to clean up and find time to get some snacky foods.

I'm tired of money being tight, but at least we are all healthy. Knock on wood ;)

I got Ted out of the house bright and early this morning, a chore unto itself, lol. It's cool and rainy, thanks to the tail end of that Alberta Clipper, so I'll tackle some indoor chores later today.

l just got off the phone with my d-i-l who has a raccoon family living in their white maple tree, digging up neighbour's lawn. He has grubs beneath the surface, his problem, not my son's, but neighbours don't look kindly upon the hosts of the raccoons. And I got an invitiaion for tea Friday afternoon! I miss my little ones so much as I haven't seen them in almost 2 weeks. (The m-i-l has been there, so I keep my distance so as not to cause even more chaos.)

Tess, so good to have you drop by more regularly!

I'll go pop in some laundry, get ready for Y&R at 11.

So yeah, I am job searching again. I don't suppose that anyone in here would be willing to be a reference would they??

Also, if by some small chance anybody knows someone in this area looking for work please let me know.

my husband works at a hospital and it's great. Do you have one nearby?

He says his hospital is always hiring in "scheduling" and every time he walks by someone is getting a boob job scheduled!

PS no play date for us, one person was sick and the other person's husband took off work unexpectedly.

My dad might drop by, which is good I had bought some yummy foods, grapes, strawberries, muffins and coffee cake.

I should really be a party planner, I do a great job of getting things together quickly (patting myself on back)

Shelly, I thought you had a job at the hotel you were interning with. Did I miss something? Are you looking for a hotel job, or something else?

Here's my reference letter:

Dear To Whomever It May Concern:

Shelly would be a faithful and tireless employee, but she must be able to access message boards from her computer at work.

Sincerely, Kae Ell
lady in Toronto who needs to get her roots done

I was suppose to get a job at the hotel I am interning at but on most days I just can't tell what the GM wants. I actually want to get a job at a hotel in groton instead because we don't get hit by the tourism thing as bad as Mystic does.

And thats very funny Kae

Shelly, I must have missed something too. What happened with the hotel?

Tess, it has been so nice to see you around here lately. We all really missed you! I'm so sorry, though, about the ***** at work. People who behave that way, especially in a professional environment, don't seem to realize how transparent they are. It's always far more gracious, and to a person's ultimate credit to say, to recognize everyone who participated. How frustrating for you!

KaeEll, a tea sounds nice. And, I thought that you just had those roots done! LOL...

I've been feeling wretched all day. I don't know now if my misery is pollen, or a sinus infection, but I'm tired of it! I didn't sleep last night, my sinuses feel like they're on fire today, and it's pouring rain. The mind is NOT functioning.

The hotel isn't a sure thing. And after last week she told me not to come in that week because of my lack of experience (it was spring break week and the hotel was really busy). So I just had a bad feeling. So I figured i would start looking, if it ends up I don't need the job then good but if I do then at least I haven't been sitting on my butt just waiting. I have until June and my GIBill check will be gone. So thats when I will need the paycheck. Plan on going home in July and with gas being so outrageous I will need all the money I can get.

I found a really good looking admin job. Hopefully they will get back to me.

Good luck Shelly! Let us know how it turns out.

Aw, the vicious cycle of roots. The problem now is that we can't let the darn things go for more than 3 weeks because the roots, ahem, shall we say, catch the light. And speaking of this all important topic, I wonder how the heck Madonna, who is seen sporting a good three to four weeks of dark roots as a style statement, how it is that HERS don't "catch the light". She's 50. Shouldn't there be a little salt and pepper going on? Does she have them darkened? Just asking, lol.

Well, this conversation has just made me realize that I'm WAY overdue for highlighting. I understand now why I've been looking so wretched lately! I've gotta get in there...
