Amber and Daniel describe themselves as a couple, sort of, it's complicated.
Sharon and Phyllis disagree big time over copy in the magazine. Sharon cancelled an article, much to Phyllis's anger. Then they have to find Lily asap for an emergency shoot while she's at her father's place with Cane, mourning the loss of the baby. Lily says it's time to move on.
Victoria and Niki gush over the marvels of motherhood, but ugh to Sabrina and Victor in their lives. Niki advises her daughter to forgive, that love is more important than hate, and that's how she learned to forgive Victor so many times, but feels she may have given up too much of herself in the end.
Adam and Victor discuss Adam's expanded role at NE, a change for the better. Adam smiles smugly.
More Amber and Daniel - he has one take on their relationship, she another, lol. She's looking for stability and an adoring partner while he just wants his freedom (and a lot of sex, presumably.)
Sharon and Phyllis pretend to get along while disagreeing on mag stuff. In come Daniel and Amber, Phyllis gushes about Amber's designs or something. All fakey happy, happy. Tension!
Cane and Neil bond over some jazz while Lily takes a nap. Then Kay phones him, Cane has to go tell her and his mother about the baby all gone.
Nick visits his mother and sister to discuss Jabot ads in the mag and Nick notes that he's not sure that Adam isn't bulldozing over Victor (since he's now taken over the B of N division from Victoria). Niki is disturbed that Adam has figured out how to take advantage of Victor.
Adam tells Victor he's sure he could do better than Victoria in acquisitions and mergers, give her back B of N, let him do his specialty. Victor says he'll consider it.
Karen lets herself in the the Winters' place, learns from Lily about the baby. Hmm. Is she thinking that maybe she doesn't need to move out after all? And more Drucilla memories. Huge Drucilla omens today.
Daniel is silly and canoodling with Amber as she tries to work, she blows up at him, yells that they should never have had sex, raising eyebrows over where Sharon and Phyllis are working. (She's obviously hurt by Daniel's all sex and no commitment thing.)
Cane tearfully tells Kay and Jill about losing the baby.
David meets with some guy named Oliver, the new supplier for the essential oils. David's in cahoots with him, would have gotten a kickback had Jill not nixed the contract. David says since Niki is his fiancee, he'll see if he can't make the deal stick. (Dirty, bad David!!)
Victoria admits to her mother and brother that she's been thinking about leaving NE for either the magazine or Jabot.
LOL, Amber confides in Phyllis that she wants to marry Daniel. Rolling of eyes! Funny.
Adam stops by Victoria's with a present for Reed, spies through the window at Victoria and Niki and decides to leave the present on the doorstep.
Victor tells Neil about Adam and his new role, says there is no comparison between Nick and Adam, please show Adam the ropes. Neil twigs that Victor is using nepotism, big time, and smells a rat.
Karen and Lily talk about her huge loss, her grief. Then Jill and Kay with Cane trying to help him feel better.
And MORE tension at the magazine with Sharon, Nick and Phyllis as Nick sides with Sharon on an issue, and Amber bugs Phyllis who is too busy to talk with her.
Victoria is touched by the crucifix Adam left for Reed, identical to her own.
Karen gives Neil back his key! Neil calls her heartless concerning Lily. Karen's dumbfounded by his comment. She had just told Lily how she had wanted 5 kids of her own but then her father got sick and she had to look after him and the window passed her by. Neil obviously doesn't know about that.
Niki confronts David about his jumpiness lately and he lies, says he was trying to plan a surprise for her.
Victor breaks the news to Victoria that he's giving Adam her job and giving her back B of N. Victoria's happy about B of N bur not thrilled that Adam is getting her mergers and acquisitions.
Skye appears at Adam's door, kiss, kiss. She's the lady from NYC that Adam lied to Phyllis about.
Lily sobs on Neil's shoulder about losing her baby, says it was all her fault.

Gloria asks Jeffery how can she find him, how can she reach him. He says "frankly me dear.."
David asks Brad if there's a chair at the table and Brad grins that there is, absolutely. (I gather David is asking about another gambling card game at Brad's.)
