A longtime friend just sent this to me. I thought that it was a little different from some of the other words of wisdom I've received. Forgive me,though, if this has been posted before, and I happened to miss it!
Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

This must be the morning for longtime friends! I just received an e mail from an old high school friend and we're having lunch next week! It's so true about letting go of people through neglect.
I'm so grateful my old friend resurfaced. This is the gal who married the Estonian refugee who was younger than her eldest daughter. Didn't last more than a couple of years, then after the amnesty, he went back home. He was so gorgeous, it was scary! I think that they are legally still married.
