Day Ahead May 13

I missed the first 15 minutes, haven't rewound yet, but it's a filler kind of episode today from what I saw.

Niki and David DO get married in Mexico, although several times before the actual ceremony (such as it was) Niki, then David said let's call this all off for now. In the end, they go through with it.

When Victor heard the news about Niki and David, he left Sabrina abruptly and went home to ride Niki's horse. There were several sad flashbacks of Niki and Victor, all done to the music that was being played at Niki and David's wedding, the same tune played at Niki and Victor's last one.

Then, of course, sly Sabrina picks up Victor's need for comfort-sex, and away they go at it. Kind of gross, but hey, maybe that's just me.

Back at Restless Style, there's a printing problem, sort of averted by Jack, cheers all around as they see their very first issue, then Phyllis's e-zine crashes.

At Jabot, Jill is all pissed off that Niki took off to elope, happy that Brad saved the day. Kay points out to Jill that she's being unduly hard on Niki, especially calling her on the nepotism, considering that Kay also has her daughter and grandson on the payroll. Kay makes a remark about Brad taking credit for something AGAIN. Love that she's a smart cookie when it comes to Bradley.

There was an interesting conversation between Victor and Kay. She said she was concerned about the children, Nick and Victoria, how could Victor let them leave NE. Victor replies that he's sick to death of everyone pointing fingers at HIM in all of this; it was Niki who started it all by having an affair with that David Chow. (Victor called him some derogatory name, can't remember what.) So!! It occurred to me then and there that Victor's dalliance with Sabrina was more of a retaliation to Niki's fling with David, and all this getting married business was nothing more than one-up-manship. JMHO.

I completely glazed over during previews. Sorry.

I'd say do try to catch it, though. Not for the wedding, that was sad more than anything, but for the conversation that Victor has with Katherine. Interesting!

One of the reasons I like Y&R so much is that they actually do write with intelligence, lol. The scripts must be devils to memorize because some of them are so jam packed with important nuance or downright hard core truths (like Victoria's tirade to Adam and Sabrina) that one word out of place, and the whole thing means something else altogether.
